Spaghetti with Pork Chop in Tomato Sauce - Hong Kong Style (蕃茄洋蔥豬扒意粉)
Cha Chaan Teng (茶餐廳) is Hong Kong style restaurant serve “East meets West” cuisine. Signature dishes like milk tea, french toast, egg tarts. Spaghetti with pork chop in tomato sauce is one of the most common dishes in their menu.
- Season pork chop with soy sauce, black pepper, cornstarch and oil.
- Cut one onion and 2 tomatoes in slices
- Medium heat cooking pan with 3 Tbsp of oil
- Cook pork chop on each side for 3-5 minutes depends on their thickness
- Once it’s done, take the pork chop out of the cooking pan
- Add 2 Tbsp of oil and 1 Tbsp of minced garlic
- When the garlic turn golden brown, add onion and tomatoes cook for few minutes
- Add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 3 Tbsp of ketchup, 2 Tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup of chicken broth. Slow cook until tomato turn into sauce
- Place spaghetti noodle as base of the plate, put pork chop on the top and pour in the tomato sauce
