叉燒 Char Siu (aka Barbecued pork in Cantonese cuisine)
Ingredients:
Marinated 3 pounds of pork shoulder overnight with the following:
- Soy sauce 2 Tbsp
- Hoisin sauce 3 Tbsp
- Oyster sauce 2 Tbsp
- Cooking wine 2 Tbsp
- Five spice powder 1 Tbsp
- Sugar 1 Tbsp
- Water 2 Tbsp mixed with 1 tsp of red food color
Broil in oven at 375°F for 30 minutes, then flip it over for another 15 minutes. Take it out and apply a layer of honey on both sides. Put it back to the oven for another 10 minutes.
