Homemade Shiitake Mushrooms with Napa Cabbage in Oyster Sauce (蠔油香菇白菜)
- Soaked Shiitake mushrooms in water until it turns soft, remove the stems and cut into slices
- Boiled Napa cabbage in hot water with 1 Tbsp of salt and 1 Tbsp of oil.
- Medium heat cooking pan with 2 Tbsp of oil, add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic
- Add Shiitake mushroom stir-fried for a minute
- Add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 2 Tbsp of oyster sauce, 1 Tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp of black pepper and 1/4 cup of chicken broth
- Continue medium heat to reduce juice for few minutes
- Add shredded red pepper and scallions.
- Add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce.
- Pour the mushroom on the top of cooked Napa cabbage, ready to serve.
