Homemade Roasted Duck


Ingredients:
Scallions, ginger, anise stars, bay leaves and dry orange skin, 3 Tbsp of five spice powder, 2 Tbsp of sugar, 4 Tbsp of rice vinegar and 4 Tbsp of syrup.

Instructions:

  1. Mix five spice powder and sugar together and rub them inside the duck.
  2. Fill inside the duck with scallions, ginger, anise star, bay leaves and dry orange skins.
  3. Zip lock the duck opening by skewer stick.
  4. Slowly pour boiling hot water all over the duck skin.
  5. Mix vinegar and syrup and brush all over the duck.
  6. Air dry the duck for at least 3 hours. (Use portable fan)
  7. Preheat oven temperature at 375°F, roast duck for 50-55 mins. (flip the duck half-way).
  8. Let the duck sit in the oven for another 10-15 mins.
  9. Cut and ready to serve.
