Pan Fried Pork Belly

  1. Cut 1 yellow onion and 3 scallions in slices, set aside
  2. Boil 2 pounds of pork belly in a pot of hot water with 1 Tbsp of salt, 2 star anises, 3 large pieces of ginger, 3 scallions and 1/2 cup of cooking wine for 30 minutes
  3. Take the pork belly out and rinse it in ice water for 10 minutes
  4. Once the pork belly cool off, cut into thin slices
  5. Sautéed some baby Bok Choy with 1 tsp of salt, set aside
  6. Medium heat cooking pan with 2 Tbsp of oil, 1 Tbsp of minced garlic and the chopped yellow onion
  7. Add the pork belly stir-fry until slightly burn.
  8. Add 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of white pepper and scallions
  9. Add 1 tsp of sesame oil and place the pork belly on the top of the sautéed baby Bok Choy. Ready to serve
