Subject: 1ST Word
Difficulty can be experienced in utilisation of the MP-165 printer installation file included on the 1st Word disk, Version 1.06. The sympton is that blank lines are sometimes omitted from the printout.
This problem can easily be remedied by making a simple modification to the printer installation file (MP-165.HEX). The following line should be deleted:-
4, 0B *Vertical Tab
The printer should then be re-installed.
The Epson LX80 printer driver contains a formfeed in its printer initialisation sequence, so that a blank page at the start of the document will be produced as in the earlier versions of 1st Word.
This can be modified to remove the formfeed.
