Dvd2Xbox information :
If you use the Dvd2Xbox application to rip games from your Xbox DVD to the Xbox HDD, you will find the games will be stored on your XBOX under E:\Games F:\Games or G:\Games depending on what sized hard drive your Xbox has.
PxHDDLoader information :
If you use PxHDDLoader to rip your games from your Xbox DVD to the XBOX HDD, you will find the games will be sorted on your XBOX under E:\HddLoader F:\HddLoader or G:\HddLoader.
Introduction:
For this tutorial I will have Halo on my Xbox HDD and will make a xISO of it using Qwix to my PC (via FTP)... Look down below at example and you will see where it’s located on my Xbox HDD. I want to make a xISO of this game which is on my Xbox HDD so I can burn it to DVD-R for backup.
E.g. HALO EXAMPLE ON MY XBOX HDD
e:\Games\Halo\default.xbe
e:\Games\Halo\Movies\
e:\Games\Halo\Movies\intro.bik
etc
etc
Please Note :
You should already be able to FTP into your Xbox using a dashboard before trying to continue with this tutorial. If you have never FTP'ed into your Xbox before I would suggest learning how to FTP before trying to use this. There are plenty of tutorials available or you can just ask in our forums... We are all here to help you.
HOW TO SETUP QWIX CORRECTLY FOR CONNECTION TO XBOX :
1. Turn on your Xbox and have it running EvoX dash or any dashboard which has an FTP server built in.
2. Open 'Qwix' on your PC.
3. Click the 'Edit' Button in Active Connections area, as shown in the image below and setup all your Xbox information.
4. You will see below a screenshot of my existing settings. Just set your own settings and use mine as an example ...
5. Once you have filled out all the settings, press the ‘ Test Connection ' button and it should find your Xbox on your network.
6. Click the ‘OK’ Button to remove the ‘Connection successful’ window then click the 'Add Folder' Button, and browse your Xbox HDD where all your games are... Normally E:\Games (on Xbox) F:\Games or G:\Games.
Then press the OK button to save all this information. See Screenshot below.
You can now extract xISO's directly from your PC to your Xbox HDD. If you use Avalaunch as a dashboard or install it as an application Qwix can manage the titles on your HDD (another feature not talked about in this tutorial)... This feature only works with Avalaunch...
That’s it for configuring Qwix to work with your Xbox... You can now move down to the next page which explains more on how to use this tool.
Enjoy!
CREATE A XISO FROM GAMES ALREADY ON YOUR XBOX HDD :
1. Open Qwix
2. Choose 'Create ISO' from the icons on the left hand side.
3. Tick the 'FTP Folder' option as shown in the screenshot below.
4. Now click the “...’ button on the very right hand side as show in the image below.
5. Select the folder of the game which you would like to make an ISO of as shown in the image below and then press the ‘OK’ button.
Example :
I picked on my Xbox f:\Games\Halo\ Folder and then pressed ok.
6. Now just press the 'Create ISO' button as shown
6. Another window will now popup and ask you where on your PC HDD you want to save this .iso file and click the ‘ Save ’ button.
QWIX should now be creating your new .iso file directly from your Xbox...
I have also included a Screenshot of the Creation Process.
When this process is complete you can burn this .iso file using Nero, DVD Decrypter or your favourite ISO burning software.
CREATE A ISO FROM GAMES ALREADY ON YOUR PC HDD
1. Open Qwix
2. Choose 'Create ISO' from the icons on the left hand side.
3. Tick the 'Local Folder' option
4. Go to the very right hand side and click on the button '...' as shown in the screenshot below.
5. Choose which game on your PC HDD you want to make an ISO of and press OK (it’s just like explorer). Remember I'm using Halo as an example. You can choose which ever game you want to create a xISO of.
Select the folder and then press ‘OK’.
6. Click the ‘Create ISO’ button.
7. Another window will now popup and ask you where on your PC HDD you want to save this .iso file... I've chosen in this tutorial to save it to my c:\ drive on my windows XP machine. See image below.
8. When QWIX has finished creating the iso file on your PC HDD you can burn this .iso file with Nero, DVD Decrypter or any burning software that supports the .iso extension.
