Wireless Controllers for the Dreamcast !
Would you like to have 100% wireless freedom on your beloved Dreamcast? You're probably thinking "well as long as it is 100% flawless and not infrared" right? Well I recently discovered the ULTIMATE solution. I noticed that someone recently posted a video of this and maybe some people missed it so here it is:
First you need one of these
Available on eBay. Just search ' PS2 Dreamcast '
Then the next part is not as obvious as you might think. Their is only ONE type of GOOD wireless controller that will work with TCP. You will need one of the Logitech Cordless Precision Controllers. The "Precision" part is essential. Logitech also sells the much more common Cordless Action Controller. For whatever reason the "Action" controllers do not work with TCP. The Precision controllers are made every bit as good as the Action ones, so if you have one of those then you know exactly what to expect. They are very high quality and have a nice weight to them. Actually I think the grip is even better.
These controllers are available on Amazon.com. Go to Amazon.com and search ' Logitech Precision PS2 Controller '.
As you can see it costs about $56 to get just one of these set up, so for some it might not be worth it. On the other hand, I have seen the infrared Treamcast controllers go for upwards of $70 apiece on eBay and those are inferior in every way to this set up. Oh by the way, yes you do still get force feedback (or rumble) and you can still use all of your VMU's. There is literally NO downside to this set up!
I know that some of the folks here HATE Sony and are thinking "blah screw the PS2". But at least you can have some piece of mind knowing that you are buying a Logitech product and not a Sony one.
