Stairs by component (2D+3D)
- Draw manually.
- You have the ability to customize runs and landings within the overall stair element
- you also have the unique ability to edit stair in the 3D views. So they are visible as a complete model when you edit the stair

stair by component= (RUN + LANDING + SUPPORT)

  • assembled stair (run+ landing+support)
  • cast-in-place stair
  • precast stair

Stairs by sketch
You are using 3D sketch lines that represent boundaries and risers.
- you do not have direct access to manipulate the 3D geometry
- the entire stair element is bound to the rules and settings in the stair type.
- you cannot customize individual parts
