Christmas in Paderborn
This year Christmas market is much smaller than in the previous year. The reason is covid's pandemic. The German government is trying to reduce the spread of the virus, an therefore the festive shopping stalls and Glühwein stands in city centers are shuttered.
Nevertheless, entrepreneurs are trying to do their best in these difficult times. So in Western Straße it is still possible to find small wooden houses selling typical german Christmas products :)
Shops decorate the shop's windows with Christmas motifs
while stalls offer several Christmas's decorations. Namely this one sells different wooden gadgets. Reminds me a lot of my old days in Nuremberg ...
another one
This is how the Paderborn Rathaus looks like. There is a huge Christmas tree in front of the Rathaus, still without lights or Christmas's balls.
This is something new that I hadn't seen yet: a stall selling Glühwein bonbons !!!
And finally, a well decorated Christmas tree !
