Christmas Gravy
MAKE IT YOURSELF
CHRISTMAS GRAVY
A rich gravy elevates the plate, so make sure you have lots to go round
Serves 6 | Prepare 5 minutes | Cook 12 minutes
Dissolve 1 Kallo Chicken Stock Cube in 500ml boiling water. Heat a knob of butter or 1tbsp olive oil in a saucepan, then stir in 1 tbsp flour. Cook for 2'3 minutes, stirring continuously, then gradually stir in the hot chicken stock, 3 tbsp port or red wine (optional) and any juices from the resting turkey crown. Add 8 fresh cooks' Ingredients Sage Leaves, then bring to boil, strirting until smooth and thickened.
Simmer for 5 minutes, then stir in 1 tbsp redcurrant jelly or cranberry sauce until dissolved. Season to taste, then strain into a warm jug.
