Cheat HDLoader Games
How you can use cheat discs with your installed HDLoader games.
How to cheat on the games stored on your HDD. V0.1

Introduction
When the HDLoader came out it was a piece of software that no PlayStation 2 owner would be without. The ability of backing up games into the Hard Disk Drive and play them from there with faster loading time is priceless. This also helps saving the laser life. But some of us were a little bit frustrated because we realized that we could not cheat on the games stored in the Hard Disk Drive and most of the PlayStation 2 gamers like to cheat on their games and this is when this guide comes in handy. There are few methods out there on how to cheat on the games on the Hard Disk Drive, this guide covers using the swap method for modified consoles and unmodified consoles.
Requirements
For unmodified consoles you need:
- Original GameShark2 V3, V4, V5 or Code Breaker V6
- Original HDLoader/HDAdvance
- Network Adapter
- Hard Disk Drive
For modified consoles you need: (no-swap modchip)
- Original/Backup GameShark2 V3, V4, V5
- Original/Backup HDLoader/HDAdvance
- Network Adapter
- Hard Disk Drive
How to do it (GameShark2 V3, V4, and V5/Code Breaker V6)
First you must boot the Original/Backup GameShark2 or Code Breaker V6, and select the codes for the game you want. Of course make sure that the codes are for the same region the game is. After you select the codes open the tray and the cheat disc out and insert the HDLoader/HDAdvance disc in. After it loads select the game you want and boot it.
The game should start as usual with faster loading times and all the codes should work. To explain a little bit on how it works. Whenever you boot a cheat device the data is stored on the Memory Card which is why you can boot another disc and then the game and it would still work.

There is another method which is better if you are well experienced with the scene and know your way around. It is by modifying the ISO of the game with a hacked Action Replay MAX ELF. It is like applying a trainer which means that the cheat codes are “built-in” with the game. In plain English the game will have the codes active every time you play the game either from DVD/CD if burnt or from the Hard Disk Drive. I cannot give a direct link to the tutorial but just Google for Chevyuk and you should be able to find it.
