- Central Park went off-line this month, Enigma informs me that
[-lEPROSY-] received a very high phonebill (around 60000 BEF,- )
But he'll be back with an new board in a few months or so....
- Fortress BBS FINALLY got his 2nd NODE online... it's some RAW & HEAVY
V.FAST power... Not bad for promising this for 7 months !!!
- Consolia and Bonzai (the 2 busted bulliten Boards) got in the news

"Report from the First Sysop Meeting in Leuven...By Enigma/PTL"
First of all i would like to thank the folowing guy`s for coming to
the meeting:
[-LeprosY-],CHA0S,DEATHRIDER,ME! =8)
What happend:
At morning the 31 December `94 I woke up at 9:35h..
I had told leprosy to come to me at 10:45h.
He was here at my home at approctimated 11:00h, so we went to cha0s his
place, to pick him and a friend of him up....
So we where going with 4 persons in leprosy`s car .. (fun u know)...
except that leprosy had to make some noise (house) in his car,
everything went well...
At approximate 11:25h we where in GENK. (EEEEKKK).. we went to the QUICK
to get some plastic hamburgers, because we where much to early.
After some chat`s and some hamburgers we went to the trainstation of GENK.
There whe had to wait untill 12:45 to get a train.. ofcource you ain`t
gone wait for the train if you can get some coca-cola`s & beer.. 8)..
Then the moment had arrived. The train was there leprosy: "SHIT I HAVE TO
TAKE I LEAK!!. Wait for me.. 8) hahahhah
So after we had found the toilet and leprosy was done we had to search for
a train coupe that had a SMOKE departement. yep wee smoke.. ehehehe c00l eh?
(Ed: Nope, it's very bad for your health)
Then the train started to move.. eeek that`s strange if ya don`t travel much
by train.. but never the less it was fun .. we played some card stuff .
in what I`m not very good at . (ask lepy or cha0s about that one).
Then we arrived at LEUVEN .. ofcource where else.. hahaha..
It was about 14:00h that we arrived there.. so pretty on time I should say.
We went to the cafeteria like we had said in the invitation, but first I had
to take a leak. (toilet again).. shit..
At that time cha0s whas wondering if somebody whould come ?
In the bar we drank some cola`s (± 5 each, and smoked many cigarettes)
the talking was not mutch becouze all of us where wondering if anybody
would show up..
I was ofcource the only one that had a T-shirt whit C= on it so cha0s
asked me if I would walk around a bit. (brrrrr COLD COLD) .. shit
why did I do that T-shirt on..BRBRBRRRRRR..8)..
I was in a good mood so I was joking about it all and I think that cha0s
didn`t apreciate it, but never the less I had a great time yelling AMIGA
MEMBER FOLLOW ME!!.. heheheh . After some time cha0s and I where back in
the bar. (drinking again ofcource ..)
Then suddenly DEATHRIDER yells at us .. WOW somebody did show up!.
So at that time we where with 6 persons.. Deathrider also took a friend
with him, but he wasn't an Amiga user I think so he didn`t say much.
we discusted a little bit about how nice it would be if Deathrider,cha0s,
me and leprosy would be at that party 4.
After a while we where sick of waiting and we said that we would take
the next train back home. the next train was at 15:45 and we took it
when it was time to go.
On the train we where in a bad mood and we played some more card stuff.
Back in GENK. we went nicely with leprosy to the car and he drove me back
to my place. Once at home the, NewYeaR mood began to come to me 8)
So lepro went home to eat something and so did I.....

At 19:30 leprosy was at my place to go to cha0s his place, and meet the
rest of the guy`s .. wee wanted to go INTERSPEREN (shooting with LASER).
At 20:00h we left from cha0s's house with 3 car`s to go to HASSELT,
cha0s had the lead and I was with leprosy in his car and he was the last

man.. cha0s was driving very carefuly heheheheh and leprosy had to
take a piss again when we where on the road..VROEEEEEMMMM .. argh
I was the only one in leprosy`s car and he drived about 140km - 150km/h
he really had to take a piss.. 8)..
Then we arrived at the Interspere and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRGH it`s closed..
So we all went to the BOWLING PLACE IN GENK also closed. ARGH..
We did find a SNOOKER place so we all went in.. 8))
We didn`t amuze ourselfs and then we went back home.
I was again in leprosy`s car and this time he drove right thru a RED
light becooze if he braked, we would have stopped in the middle of the
crossroad so he gave some more gas .. argh..I didn`t like it.. 8)
Then back at cha0s place..we where all ready to drink the shit out of
ourselfs... but cha0s went with his girlfried to a little diner and
his mother got angry and threw us all out.. so we where standing in the
cold night outside of cha0s home.. I said to leprosy that we would
continue the party at my place.. so we went on foot to my home...
he got a wet foot becose he was trowing a fire cracker.. hahahahah .
Suddenly we ran in to the rest of the guy`s. they asked me if they could
also come party with me so I had to say yes.. by the time leprosy and I
arrived at my home all the others where already ringing my doorbell...
heheh .. it was already 11:45h by that time.. so I had to reinstall my hole
barbershop from my mom to make a party place from it.. then I had to
move my hole stereo installation downstairs and some glasses.. and shit,
then it was 24:00h .. NEWYEAR . we kissed everybody hahahahahaa NOT..
And went outside to throw some fire crackers .. I had 100 and leprosy had
300 of them.. we put some of then in the !!souwer!! and had lots of fun
then I had enough of it al and went back inside to empty a bottle of PISANG
AMBON. (u know the green stuff).. about 3:00h in the morning leprosy and
some other frends left my house to go to a party in the local pub..
I was very dronk and I don`t know all the details anymore but MY
parents came home and I thought to get a heavy fight but they invited all my
friends to go to a local pub and have a drink on my parents. fun . 8) hhahe
After all this I was to drunken to remember anything so sorry but I only
remember that I went in my bedroom when it whas already morning again..

New weapon against computer crime
In Antwerp computer freaks have been arrested because who sold illegal
software. Also yesterday started the proces against 4 computer freaks
which copied illegal software. The new law against computer crime plays
an essential role in this. Before the author right and theft was used,
which led to 'strange' convictions. Who's caught risks a fine up to
20 million BEF and who starts again risks 2 years of prisonment.
Computer hackers caught in Antwerp
The computer of the Antwerp police succeeded into catching several
computer pirates. 2 computer freaks spreaded numbers of calling cards
which whom they phone ober the whole world on costs of the owner of
the card. Another person copied monthly illegal software on CD.
Since june 94 computer crime can be tackled more efficiently, thanx to
new laws. Before the law on copy rights or the charge of theft had to be
used to react against illegal copying of software. Above this the police
can now start an investigation of it's own, there doesn't have to be
a complaint.
On 2 months time 13 houses have searched in Antwerp, herentals, Hasselt
and Kessel-Lo. In these more then 22 computers, more then 30.000 disks,
a number of optical disks and tapes with illegal software have been
confiscated. The tapes contain more then 300 GB of illegal software.
This illegal software has also been spread on CD. A suspect in Berchem
had bought a CD-writing machine, which he used to copy all new software
every month on CD. These CDs have been spread under the name of 'Nebula'
through several points of sale.
In Hasselt and Kessel-Lo police have busted two Bulletin Boards, where
phone fraud has been done. In these BBSses people could get access to
AT&T calling cards. Who has access to such a number can call over the
whole world. The owner of the card with that number does get the bill
of it all at the end of the month.
Computer fraud is punished with severe fines which can go up to 20 million
BEF. Who gets caught a second time risks 2 years of prisonment.
Heavy juridical fight on Antwerp court : stealing by computer is no theft ?
4 people are put on trial before the Antwerp court, who gave everyone
access to illegal copied software. More then a computer, a modem and
a phone weren't necessary for this. The trial is imported for 2 reasons.
In the first place it is a test cas efor the new law on computer crime
which only exists for 6 months, and secondly official software producers
hope it will frighten illegal suppliers in the future.
At the end of october '92, says the Antwerp police, have the 2 most
important bulletin boards of Belgium been busted : 'Stairway to Heaven'
in Antwerp and 'Monkey Island' in Leuven. A BBS is a sort of computer
that is constantly connected to a phone line and where people can leave
messages and get programs. The system operator decides who has access to
the system and can give them a password. Illegal BBSses supply all kinds
of software. Programs which cost thousands of franks can be downloaded at
almost no expense.
Programs for sale
The investigation started when someone sold programs trough an
advertisement paper. The advertiser got a visit of the police and these
discovered that this software came from 'Stairway to Heaven' The sysop
from StH confessed on his turn he got information on MI. Behind this
system, which had international allures, where 2 sysops. One of them
worked at an official producer of software, where he worked on a so-called
'hot-line'. Owners of programs can ask for more information at that number.
The suspect says he hasn't done more then getting all kind of information
for his employer from around the world. He didn't have any intention of
selling the information.
The whole trial can end in a juridical fight. Only in june 94 a law
against computer crime has been developed. The old law about copy rights
only knows litterature and art and mostly 'theft' had to be used to punish
computer crime.
According to an arrest of the Antwerp Court of Justice it is completely
legal to talk about theft when computer data have been copied against the
will of the owner.
It is not possible to point at the new law, because this case dates of 92,
so before this law existed. On the other side the DA in this case doesn't
want to sue for 'theft' because the punishment herein is much higher then
the punishment in this new law on computer crime.
The defence likes this reasoning because she thinks there has been no
theft, and that this new law doesn't has to be used as a backup.
The 2 sysops of MI risk 4 months on probation and a fine of 90.000 BEF.
The sysop of StH and the man who sold through the advertises, risk a
fine of 67.500 BEF. Verdict on 24 februari.
