Lentil curry shampoo
Lentil curry shampoo
Ingredients for 1 shampoo
- 2 tablespoons of peeled red lentils
- 1 cup of water
- 5 or 6 cloves
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
Preparation: pulverize the lentils in the electric coffee grinder, then dilute them with water taking care not to form lumps. Add the cloves. Put on the fire and let it boil, stirring constantly. Turn off the heat, add the turmeric and stir. Cover and let cool by stirring occasionally. Remove the cloves then blend everything at maximum speed with the immersion blender. A semi-fluid mixture of the density of a batter for frying must be obtained; if necessary add hot water.
How to use it: apply to dry hair by dividing it into strands and distributing the shampoo starting from the roots, so that the scalp is abundantly and uniformly soaked. Proceed with the application, distributing the shampoo over the rest of the hair, then massage the scalp for 1 or 2 minutes and leave on for 1 more minute. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water (the last rinse should be done with cold water) taking care to perfectly remove any residue of shampoo. If after drying your hair with a towel you find that there are a few grains left, do not worry: it will fall by itself when you brush dry hair. This dose is suitable for medium length hair, decrease or increase the doses proportionally as needed. It is a type of washing that leaves hair particularly full-bodied, perfect for those with slightly "floppy" hair. It can also be done by replacing lentils with split peas. It is possible to prepare the shampoo in larger quantities, then dividing it into single doses to be kept in the freezer.
