Constructive Dismissal
I have serious problem at work. I'm working for the XX project. It's one project of XX and for me it looks a big goal, thinking from where I started. The project is about one hotel. My office is specialized in hotels, so it is taking care about all the " hotel " aspects. The problem is just that it is an old style mind office. It means that this is their first revit project. They do not have a revit manager. They do not have a bim coordinator. The manager and the leader of every small team, dont know what revit means. I have started in april in the back of house team. It was completely a mess. The managing team were thinking that revit was taking care of everything. Let's say like photoshop and a good picture. They were thinking that once the model was done, it was so quickly to create sheets and information. Like for magic. But they havent considering how much time was taking the model and creating views. Moreover, because there was no scheme, you can imagine that the jungle was on for naming, families, constraint, lines, view templates filled region. Everything was completely out of control. Hope you remember the example of a RCP created like a normal plan but with a view range higher than ceilings and with no lights visible. This is only one example. It has been a really nightmare. I was working 70 hours per week many times during summer times. Then in September that part was delivered. Now I am in the same project but in the guestroom team. Trying to avoid all the problems of the first phase, they managers have try to put someone in charge of the new model. The consequences is just that she's like Olga. She needs to control everything otherwise she delete. She delete without any regrets. In her mind, you are just supposed to tag the great model she's doing. I'm complain about my work deleted since October. The manager loves me, so he had agreed to not allow some situations anymore. But this problem never stops. Now I am responsible for details of guestrooms, and the rest of the team for modeling the rooms. I am working for the details with the spec guy that in a while he's gonna leave me to write the specs down. I had proposed to work modellig families up to the medium level to allow me to put detail items inside families visible only in fine detail level and have all the detail available except for a few elements of connection. This idea failed because she said that I was supposed to work with filled region and lines. So I have started working with detail items to tag and 3d model on the background. But the families were model wrongly. Instead of a panel of 20mm I was getting 2 panels of 10mm each, and my leader was telling me.....delete the line.....I can't. And the material parameter were assigned wrongly. Or because of the wrong geometry of modeling, the wrong material was appearing in some situation. So with the ok of the leder, I had start amending families. After like 4 days, all my work was deleted because all the old families were back. So the new deal was to send email with the things to amend to the owner of the family. But my works stops for 10 days because I didn't received any reply back. Then yesterday I got so angry because instead of amending families, she's deleting them from the model and the load them back again. But in the mean while all my info tag and dimension were gone. It means that yesterday, I had discover that like 70% of my work of the last two weeks is gone. The manager so as decided to let me work in 2D only and drafting view. This is gonna take more time but noone is supposed to touch it. Today the leader of the work was complain that I need to work also in 3d. But I do not know what to do anymore. I do not know what I can work on. It doesnt look a big problem that my work have been deleted. The team leader reply me that it can happen. But this second phase has started in December and HAS to be ISSUE the 29th of may. We already have like 150 sheets only for details. And only 5 are ready. I am worried and I seriously dont know how to organized my work because every step forward, I walk 2 or 3 steps back. I want to know is I am exaggerated or if, you expert on revit, thinks there is a solution.
