You can order it directly from the band. Check out their website for more
info on how to order etc. I really hope the band gets back to me about
ordering from Sweden - I haven't received a reply from them yet.

Went to the Planet, I'm Gone page

and d/led the only sound clip that was working (Hover) and

*WOW*

everyone on Avalyn should go check it out.

What's the deal with the EP? Is it out? Is it coming out soon?

One of the guys from Planet is/was on the droneon list. They broke up some
time ago, so if nothing is currently available, I'd imagine that nothing
ever will be.

I want to know that too. I don't even know if the band is reading
their e-mail or even worse, if their form-script sending the mail
to them works ok. As there are several pictures missing and
only one of the songs working okay on the site, I have a feeling
no one is checking up on it (or the e-mail). :-(

Anyone with more information? Been in contact with the band even?

Subject: the poop on P.I.G.

Slowdive Listers,

Hello. At long last I have decided to break the silence concerning my
old group Planet, I'm Gone. As Brad said, the founding members dissolved
the band back in May of this year. They have since reformed with a new
name, personnel, and sound (*so* they claim) -- without me. It was kind
of an ugly break-up and, yes, I will admit that I am a little bitter.
That having been said, thank you all for your kind words both on this
list and sent to the old page. I finally succeeded in getting ahold of
my ex-bandmates just earlier this evening, as we had fallen completely
out of touch, and here is their new url:

"Kasper Hauser" at http://www.home.fuse.net/kasperhauser/index.html

I haven't tried the page yet, so the address might not even work. He
assured me that he has been trying to get his old internet service
provider to take down the P.I.G. page, but they haven't gotten around to
it. He claims that my replacement and their new drummer are more
"rocking" and they now sound more like Swervedriver/"Isn't Anything-era"
MBV than Slowdive. I'll have to try the new samples and see.
The good news though, is that 16 copies of our 5 song cassette are
still available. Despite what the page says, no CDs were ever made. If
anybody is still interested just let me know. I will gladly send you one
for 5 bucks to cover postage, etc. Just mail (cleverly concealed) cash
or a check made out to "Andy McMillan" to the following address:

Andy McMillan
425 Claranna Ave. #4
Dayton, OH 45419

thanks again for all the nice comments--it was great while it lasted,

Andy

P.S.--Hey, Viet, I've always wanted to hear some Sweet Trip... you wanna
just swap tapes? Same goes for anybody else out there in a band.

P.P.S.--I'm listening to American Analog Set "the fun of watching
fireworks" as I type this. Just got it yesterday. What's everybody think
of them?

Hauser. I just found out there's no www required.

In Belgian I have a good address:
Vynilla is a record shop specialized in the more alternative stuff. One
of the guys there is a real shoegaze fan and likes twinkling guitar
stuff (he adores Slowdive). I'm sure that they will distribute some of
the copies.

Here is the address:
Vynilla

ok ok... they are my 2 bands...

I was hoping to get some opinions of a couple of my demos...

(ps...these are hidden on my work site so please dont forward the url to
too many people)

http://www.news.com/Radio/beta/demo.ram
(my band called "aerodrome"....somewhat traditional indiepop/shoegazey
stuff with cool transitional stuff as well... about 30 minutes)

http://www.news.com/Radio/beta/snowmobileisdn.ram
(my own project called "snowmobile"....it has 4 proper songs plus
transitional music with samples, beats, etc....about 25 minutes)

these are encoded with with realaudio for ISDN connections...but I believe
it will still play with a slower connection, but you will have to buffer it
more and download more of the file...But it is worth it for the better
sound quality....

let me know if you have any problems...

thanks!

ps:I apologize if this is just another useless email to land in your
in-box....

Subject: Alison video

I don't know if this has been pointed out by someone else before, but
the video for "Alison" has been put up at: http://www.altvideos.com

you have to register a name etc., but for those people who haven't seen
it, you should check it out, it's definitely cool. The web site has
videos categorized alphabetically and also has a search engine so
finding the video will be easy.

There are also 3 versions the website offers: one is for 28.8
connections, another for 56k I believe, and one for t1/above
connections. They differ in size and quality.
I recommend viewing the largest video (3mb) because of it's excellent
video/audio quality.
