Daikatana follows the adventures of Hiro Miyamoto (yes, partly inspired by
the master game designer himself) in the year 2455. Miyamoto is the athletic
grandchild of Dr. Toshiro Ebihara, an archeologist who discovers a legendary
Daikatana which acts as a nexus through time and space, giving whoever holds
it the power to travel through time. Unfortunately, before Ebihara can put the
sword to good use, he is murdered by his evil assistant, who has plans to travel
back in time and steal the work of another scientist who discovered the cure
for AIDS and unfairly reap fame and fortune.
