Nintendo64 Game List Tool (GList) v1.15
on 26-12-98

release notes:
What is it?
-----------
GList is a tool for making lists of game images and optionally check,
rename or convert them. This release is for LINUX only.
Why use it?
-----------
* It can automatically rename all files so that they end with the
country info (MARIO64.JAP, EUR-RUSH.USA etc). Now also a new renaming
option for Z64 users.
* Displays game version (Remember where you saw it first, RTool 3
still doesn't have it, hehe).
* Does not display manufacturer (because its useless).
* It can calculate and verify CRC's for a whole directory with games.
* It can automatically byte flip all games (in a directory) that are
not in your desired format.
* Works with any filetype (Doctor V64, Mr.Backup/Z64 etc)
* Compressed output, will display all info on a single line
* It doesn't have a manual in microsoft word format
What's new?
-----------
1.15 - Linux (Intel x86) version also available! For us who are using a
stable operating system. This version is only released for Linux,
but in the future all versions will (probably) be released for both
M$-DOS and Linux. (I could ofcourse have released 1.15 for MSDOS
too but there's no need for a new dos version yet)
Note! Don't use filenamer longer then 8+3 under linux, those
files will be ignored!
- Added -rz option for Z64 users. Z64 files will get the extension
.ROM (V64/CD64 files will be named .V64).
- More bugs and semibugs fixed.
1.11 - More bugs fixed. Eurasia internal beta.
1.10 - Release version. Faster code.
1.02 - Only spread to testers.
- Program will display a warning if you don't use -crc.
- When using -r, it will rename file extension to .jap, .usa, .eur,
.ger etc depending on the country info. Files with undefined country
code (displays "???") will be given the extension .V64 or .Z64
depending on the file format.
- Reports error if a corrupted header is found.
- Various minor improvments, bugfixes and changes.
1.01 - Now also displays game version (not when using -s1).
Displays the number of games and total megabytes listed.
1.00 - Output saved to a file could fail to write all output -> Fixed.
- Reorganized internal data layout. The program will no longer
give stack overflow error, which sometimes happened before.
