CZN does it again and give you that crack-fix for startwars ep1 that let
you save !
Ok, here is how to use it:
apply the czn-ep1f.aps file over the original rom in V64 format, then send
the rom and power on the n64.
If it's the first time you load the game and you have no SAVE-GAME already,
press Z + START in the CZN intro, so it will initialize your save-game. If
you don't do this, strange things may occur (game not working or stuff like
that). Only do that the first time, else it will erase your save data!
Also, be patient because it takes 5 seconds for the game to come after
the CZN intro.
Only use THE FIRST TWO BANKS to save your data in the game!!! the 3rd may
work as well but I'm not sure! but the other probably don't work!
Because the game uses double-size eeprom I had to fix the code so it works
with single eeprom, but I can't put 1024 bytes in only 512 bytes. So half
of the data isn't saved. But I hope it's not important informations. Because
of that only use the first two banks. I also disabled the CRC over the
eeprom it's why you have to use that Z+START trick at the beginning.
Also the game sometime crashes with my V64jr, but it also happen with the
original rom so it's not the fix's fault. Still tell me if someone else has
this problem.
I've also included an IPS file: YOSHSTAR.IPS. It let you play starwars ep1
with a YOSHI cart, because yoshi has double eeprom too so the save works
perfectly. It's useless but some people asked for it. Better buy EP1
instead of yoshi!:)
and YES I'm still working on a 100% ken griffey crack, just be patient! ;)
