Strip Poker III
STRIP POKER III ...... brought to you by VINH LONG
Installation
To make a working copy of Strip Poker III on a high density floppy, insert disk 1 and type INSTALL for instructions.
HARD DISK USERS. Just copy or unzip all the files into a subdirectory of your choice.
If you wish to play against the two additional opponents on data disk 4, unzip or copy the entire contents of that data disk into your Strip Poker III subdirectory.
Getting Started
From a floppy, insert disk 1 and type POKER.
From a hard disk, from the subdirectory where Strip Poker III files were installed, type POKER.
Strip Poker III will automatically detect what type (VGA /EGA) of graphics board you have. It will also detect and use a mouse if you have one (my Microspeed trackball would not work though).
PASSWORD: The password is "Artworx." It is not a copy protection type password, just something included to keep the kiddies from playing the game. You can use an editor to change the password to anything you like by loading and editing the PSWRD file. You can also disable the password check by deleting or renaming the PSWRD file.
Switches
POKER M ....disables mouse and uses keyboard.
POKER S ....disables sound.
POKER E ....forces EGA mode on VGA machines. (why?)
Controls
SPACEBAR ....... boss key.
<-->CURSOR KEYS selects betting and discard options.
UP CURSOR KEY .. action key to select discards or bets.
ENTER .......... same as up cursor key.
F2 ............. swaps upper right hand window with main window.
F3 ............. " lower " " " " " "
0 .............. recall your last hand for review.
1 .............. recall opponent #1's last hand for review.
2 .............. " " #2's " " " "
3 .............. " " #3's " " " "
S .............. toggle sound on /off.
F .............. toggle fast /slow play speed.
ESC ............ exit Strip Poker III.
You can choose to play 1, 2, or 3 opponents at a time. In VGA mode, if you choose 1 or 2 opponents, a representation of YOU appears in an empty window to remind you of your state of undress.
