HOW TO BUILD YOUR OWN V64-POWER SUPPLY V1.0
Ok Dudes, bung is very good in delivering defective Power-Supplies with their Doctor V64, also at sometimes a Power-Supplier overheats and works no more.
Here is a simple way how to built your own power supply:
Items you need:
- A broken V64-PowerSupply (actually only the cable which gets plugged into your Doctor64)
- A normal PC-PowerSupply (same you use in your Desktops or Big Tower)
- Some Solder Iron
All you have to do is to connect the cable from your DoctorV64-PowerSupply to one of the free connectors of your PC-PowerSupply (for example one of those you normally use for your powering a Harddisk Drive)
Here is the PIN-Layout
Doctor V64 Cable:

| blue | +5 V |
| white | ground |
| red | +12 V |
| brown | ground |
PC-Connector:
| Cable color | Voltage |
| red | +5 V |
| yellow | +12 V |
| black | ground |
| black | ground |
All you have to do now is to solder/connect the stuff together
| Doctor V64 | Computer |
| blue | red |
| white | black |
| red | yellow |
| brown | black |
Now that should work then.
