Well, Civax sorta forced me to write an article for cfx news, and...
well, here I am, writing an article! I really didn't know what to
write about since there are SO many different things... So I will
stick to what I know....
Many people these days think the scene is dead (mainly art sceners)
Actually, I've seen the scene in this state many times, it always
bounces back but less stronger then before, so in essence, yes the
Israeli art scene does have one foot in the grave... 'Why' you ask?
Well I think it is mostly because everyone these days has a computer,
a modem, a big harddisk and all the art progies ever released on one
CD, while you pro'lly have a much weaker system (maybe not). Kids are
getting today into the art scene because it's the hip thing to do, it
is not anymore about the really creative dudes wanting to stand out,
it's just people looking for a 'scene', any scene.... Why is this not
happening or in my view happening but in a lesser scene to the demo
scene? Because coding is a skill that takes time to learn, tracking
is a talent where you must have feeling for it, and graphics... Well,
graphics are just so damn hard :)
But still it is happening. How do I know? Whenever I meet a younger
scener who does not know his history I KNOW, whenever I see someone
group-hopping and handle-hopping I KNOW, when people are concerned
more with the place they get is some party then releasing something
NOT in a party I know.... The scene isn't just one big compo...
Release all year long not just during the parties..
Anyway, alot of you younger sceners don't know what dedication to the
scene means, meeting with your group, or working on some project when
you really should be doing something else, or just caring.
So people, both in the art scene and the demo scene, GET INVOLVED! Do
something! Setup projects, mailnets, newsletters, diskmags, intros,
greetros, websites, intros, source packs, musicdisks, BBSs, meetings,
art packs, or maybe... just maybe, you can come up with something
COMPLETELY NEW!
Don't JUST BE.... JUST DO IT! (i'm sure most of you like nike over ck

I, civax, am going on 2 months trip to scandinavia and europe.
In that time, Turk182 will do his best to keep the bbs running
as usuall, but since he studies at a university away from here,
he might be avilable only at weekends. Now we need _YOUR_ help.
Turk182 will take care of the 'dirty' sysop works, still, you
can assist by UPLOADING new products to the right directories.
We also look for several trustable users that'll get a cosysop
access foor doing several maintaing works. If you're intrested,

of which are HANUKA holyday. Party will be 53hours totaly.
