As always, you have recived the COMPLETE LIST of ISRAELI SCENE GROUPS
inside the archive holding CFX NEWS. Since only few people updates us
online, we remind you to fill the online qustionniar on scene menu (S
from main menu). In additional, we've inclosed a form you can fill at
your homes and upload to the bbs. For any other remarks, please write
to civax@kinneret.com
== CFX Team Announces ========================================================
As you know, the CFX Team is working to maintain the bbs and other
activities for the scene. We are currently looking for good sceners
who'll be willing to join to the CFX Team and help us in our work.
We need a guy to be incharge of mail and users maintaince (full
access to users base will be given). Another guy is needed to take
care of some files areas - maintaince, updates and opening/closing
of areas. We also look for 2 more members for the INTERNET DEVISION.
we need a MUSIC supervisor and a PR to represent the bbs on irc.

== Editor's Introduction: Special Weeks =====================================
Greetings!
As every week, you again presented with another issue of CFX News.
This time, I'd like to discuss an idea we came up with on the CFX
Team. We have decided to post an online questionaire, where you'd
grade your most wanted type of files. When we'll see that one of
the catagories have raised a certin level - we'll declare a week
dedicated to that catagory.
What does it mean?
If we'll see, for eg., that over 30 people are very intrested in
sources, we'll declare one of the following weeks a SOURCES WEEK,
and FLOAD the bbs with all kind of sources. Same thing with any
other catagory - music, graphics, trackers, diskmags, art packs,
ect. So, if you'd like this idea, all you've gotta do is just
go to the Support Hallmenu, enter the CFX TEAM hut n' choose the
'vote special week' (option '2').
We also have some more new ideas, but thats all depends on YOU.
We need help in the CFX Team and this is your time to join us in
maintaining one of the biggests (if not THE biggest) demo-scene
archive in Israel.

== Parties ===================================================================
(*) We officialy announce here that ALL the official releases from
The Gathering 97 (Norway) DemoParty are now online. This includes
4k, 64k, demo, FastDemo, TextDemo, Music and Graphics. There are
some AMAIZING stuff in there - be sure to have a look.
(*) We will also start to bring products from Mekka & Symposium
(they have united to one big party) and SiliConvention. Expect
a mass of files in the comming days. Other parties ended few
days ago are X Takeover (Holland), Scenest (Hungary) and Spring
Break (Usa). We'll bring you the 3 best products of each compo
in a matter of a day or two.
(*) A party in Australia was held at 31/03. The party - SCENERY -
was ended a week ago and we'll bring you some of the best
products released there.
(*) Ritual'97 is still in preparetions in Kfar-Saba.
it is planed for the ??.07.97 and we all hope its going to be
a big one. Invitation intro suppose to be released soon, coded
and designed by SYNC, along with the Information on the party.
(*) Movement'97 is planned for 2?.12.97 during the Hannu'ka holyday.
we'll release an article about whats going on inside the organizing
team on the next week issue of CFX NEWS.
(*) Millenium had ended in Givata'im. Compos were small but people
enjoyed anyway :). Seems the organizing team forgot about releasing
the products and thus I have to phone alot of people in order to
collects them. this realy is a mess. Anyway, we can present you
2 out of 3 demos and 3 out of 21 musics. I'm still trying to reach
kenzu/trip in order to fix this. Hopefully we'll have everything
in a matter of days.
(*) The Trip is an italian demoparty, started at 11/04 (yesterday).
We hope to get a full report from some of the attenders specialy
for coders f/x bbs. and ofcourse, we'll supply you the best
products as soon as they'll be released.
(*) Just to keep you updated about the rest of this month and
the next (April), here is a short list of nearest parties
around the world:
Simple (Portugal, 01/05)
Invasion (Finland, 02/05)
Abduction (Finland, 06/06)
so, the comming weeks going to be full with new products and you
all are very welcome to aid the internet devision in bringing the
new releases into coders f/x.
(*) Note that Somewhere In Holland (SIH) demoparty was CANCELED.
== File Base Changes =========================================================
(*) A new filearea is open for the group VERTIGO. You'll find all
thier files there, along with some updated information. We'll
soon have thier forum online, updated according to thier web page.
(*) We have re-opened a file area dedicated to Fantasy and Myth
pictures, called on the bbs FANTASY AND MYTH PICTURES II,
since we already have such an area online. This area, like the
first one, will focus on the artwork of Boris Vallejo. Still,
we won't limit ourselves to this artist alone and will supply
any other qulity picture related to that subject.
(*) The CFX Team is now constructing a complete bbs area dedicated to
NEW AGE and WORLD MUSIC styles. We will supply you files and info
about artists like Vangelis, J.M. Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Enigma,
Deep Forest ect. Updates will be made according to the official
web sites of these artists. If you have any information or
related files, or you've got any requests about this project,
please contact civax.
(*) As we started bringing THE GATHERING 97 files we had opened
7 new areas:
TG97 - 4k intro ==> 4k intros
TG97 - 64k intro ==> 64k intros
TG97 - textmode demo ==> textmode demos
TG97 - fast demo ==> fastdemo compo
TG97 - pc demo ==> demos
TG97 - graphics ==> graphics & art
TG97 - music (Mch) ==> Multi-Chnl music
All official releases are online. The overall size is about 50mb.
(*) MILLENIUM filearea is open and will contain all releases
from the party. Since there isn't alot of relases we will
have only 2 file areas here:
Millenium products - Demos/intros/ansi/ascii/general files
Millenium music - All the music compo entries (21)
Still, as we have only few products online, they are all in
one filearea.
(*) TTOM (The Temple Of Music) has now a saperate file area, as any
group we WHQ should. Come n' hear some of their musical pieces!
(*) New file area is open - SMALL AND CUTE GAMES.
We will not hold any warez or any commercial game there, only
small games like VENGENCE, BAMBA, AVODA ect. You are welcome
to contribute to this new area.
== Online Features Changes ===================================================
(*) 'Comment lords' (Leave msg to sysops) from MAIL MENU is now
working correctly.
(*) Multi-Line: A new WHO'S ONLINE is running and now you can also
send messages to other callers. Also, 2 new multi-line CHATTERS
are running. Option 4 at CHAT HALL allows up to 3 people to
talk - this number will increase once we'll get some more lines
to the bbs. Option 5 ('Campus Rooms') allows to have dedicated
confrences about subjects. User can open any 'room' they like
and invite people in.
(*) Request file option is now available from the files menu. Just
press R and get inside. people can leave comments or msgs about
any file they want and other people can upload hem the file or
tell them where to look.
(*) We've found a bug in the "spy on users" option and we're currently
fixing it.
(*) You can read the latest CFXNEWS online from the news menu, press 5.

* Some files I must point out on:
ROBOTNIK demo - one of the BEST demos I've seen lately. it
won 2nd at TG97 and has some new effects I
haven't seen on other demos. This *awsome*
production was made by a group named RAGE.
OSHO demo - a very nice demo from those two groups who
always work togather - Immortals and TTOM.
This one is totaly HEBREW - and it's quite
good! Got 2nd place on millenium.
