Saxonia Issue 04 Part 029
Last words

This issue of Saxonia has with no doubt been the hardest to finish. Not
because each task is intensely demanding, more because of the lack of
support. I'm getting tired of trying to release a mag more or less on my
own, with a just couple of people who helps me. What I miss most is articles
from different people. I write most myself, then Ghandy and Browallia gives
me a couple of articles. Hell, the three of us might aswell just send a
couple of mails back and forth, then we even wouldn't have to bother about
getting music, spending time putting a mag together, getting cliparts,
checking if everything works and so on.
I can tell you all right now when the next issue will be out. There are two
possibilities. Either people keep sitting in their chair, needing a
crowbar to get their finger out of their ass, not doing any kind of support,
in which case the next issue will be when I see the need for it to tell a
story. That might be the next month, the next year or the next decade.
I'll not search high and low for topics to write about.
The second possibility is highly unlikely to occur. If people manage to send
me about 4-6 articles, I'll fill in with what I have (I write when I feel
like it, not when deadline gets close) and release. I have a hard time
seing this scenario becoming true. People are too busy wasting their
sparetime leaving messages on pouet instead of doing work they can be
proud of.
There's one thing I cannot say enough, if you have made a module, want to
make cliparts, have spent some time writing an article or whatever, you
can contact me even if I haven't announced a deadline for next issue. I will
never announce such. The scene is a sparetimeactivity and I work with it
when I feel like. Perhaps I have finished lots of things, just waiting for
the last few bits and pieces. In that case, why should I announce a deadline
when the possibility of me losing motivation and not finishing the work
is highly present? The best way to stay motivated is seeing other people
wanting to contribute. It's not hard. For anything, you can contact me
at rumrunner@sensewave.com
So, back to when the next issue will be released. I just came across
news (atleast they were news to me, I don't know how many others have
seen it) looking very interesting. I'm going to look more into this,
and, if it turns out to be worth it, release the next Saxonia when this
work is finished. Don't expect a full mag though, I will, as said, not
do a single thing to get music, more cliparts and so for this issue.
