. . . : ; The "WOW!" Notice

No, not those disgusting chips that make you want to sit in your
bathroom for years, but rather the fact that we are on Issue Ytnewt of
Chico's Groove. What an accomplishment. It hasn't even seemed like that
long, and we're already making milestones.

. . . : ; The "OK-WELL" Notice

Ok, well, not really milestones. I wonder how that term came to be.
Milestones. Perhaps they were talking about how the sun-caked desert
look like broken granite and that it stretched on for miles and miles. I
made that up now, but it sure sounds like the truth. Spread it like the
wind! Cos Devil Shat said so.

. . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and other miscellaneous junk

NEW DEVIL SHAT (#ThirtySix): If you haven't formed an opinion about the
whole Clinton debacle, than you obviously have been living in a hole. Or
you could not give a damn... which is normally how Morbus feels about
things when it comes to political and government wide issues. But,
strangely, along with an article about animal rights, Morbus cares about
Clinton and what is going on... you've got to read the article to find
out why.

NEW GHOST SITES (#19): Now is the time for little kiddies to run back to
their colleges and update their websites. Or not. If not, it's up to the
college to take the website down, and we all know how that works. Thus,
Ghost Sites #19 is full of decayed college artifacts, including a little
"Natalie Engel's Chest of Lust, Longing and Obsession" and
"CrapFinder"... be sure to check it out.

NEW ZERO: Along with a new review about the sadly lacking "Mechanical
Animals" from Marilyn Manson, you can catch the newest song from John
Treacy, entitled "Winter". Low on samples, but high on quality... check
it out.

LOW IS BACK IN BUSINESS: After the impromptu vacation, Low Bandwidth was
just yelling at me and bitching at me to get something done with it. So,
along with adding a bunch of new resources, a new FAQ, and improved
editing amongst most of the pages, we also added the Sub-titles and
Editor Names which we had been harping about a couple of weeks ago. We
condensed the listings so that only one listing belongs in one
category... it just makes it easier on the headaches all around. Added a
new review for "Electric Dreams"... thankfully, people are sending stuff
in. I'm finding it hard to do stuff myself. You know what, a thought
just struck me. I sound pathetic. Hmmf. Ah twell. Anyways, added links
to newsgroups (which, for some strange reason, we're left out) and added
a total of six new listings. Only 46 more to go in my mailbox and then I
can actually see about integrating the older databases. Ha. Ha. Ha.

TEXT ISSUE LINKS: For easier printing capability, and for a boot in the
face for those people who don't read the fine print, Devil Shat was
given a minor feature boost this week with a "plain text format" links
added to each and every issue... right down where the little navigation
buttons are to move between the issues. Not only will this be easier on
those people who have crappy printers, but it might (in some rare case),
increase awareness of the portable text files, and thus be downloaded
and distributed amongst the cosmos. All we want is media saturation...
that's all. Of course, our pathetic dreams will probably not be
realized, and we just wasted an hour coding and testing the thirty five
issues. Ho-hum. And to be concise, we also added this "feature" to the
Ghost Sites section also.

TEXT CRAP AGAIN: Someone told us it would be a good idea to have the
subscribe and unsubscribe instructions within the issues we send out
through email. And strangely enough, we DID have them awhile ago...
somehow, during one of the text redesigns, they were lost. They're back
now. Rejoice.

MINOR UPDATES: Revised "The Sacred Head" from my (Morbus Iff) collection
of fiction in the Collected Works section. I have plenty more stuff to
add, but it's just a matter of finding time.

. . . : ; EVERYTHING else and stuff you don't really care about

COMPUTER SEMINAR: Well, that computer seminar thing that I told you
about happened this past week, so a bunch of news from that. Although I
didn't win any of their crappy prizes (the only decent being a copy of
Office 98), I've been entered into the drawing for a PowerBook. We can
always pray, but I doubt it. Also being the youngest and most noticeably
"unkempt and weird looking" had its benefits, as I knew more than most
of the other attendees there, which felt good. Being the only "html wiz"
had it's benefits too, as the File Maker Pro guy said "I knew he would
raise his hand. It's always the people with the long hair... they get
all the chicks, etc. etc." and then used me as an example to demonstrate
CDML. And contrary to popular belief, the Adobe Photoshop people don't
have all the answers. My simple question? "How do you draw a box?" She
stared at me for a while, and then gave me some demonstrations of
Photoshop's amazing blur capabilities, and how it was designed as a
photograph editing application. "If I wanted to do something like a box,
you'd want to use Illustrator." Oh... I spent $600 for a program, and I
get recommended to buy an equal valued piece... to draw a box.
Oooookkkkk. All around, the seminar was damn enjoyable.

WHAT I BOUGHT THIS WEEK: A SCSI external zip drive for sixty bucks,
everything included. Now I've got Office 98 (stripped to only Word) and
some other applications on there (mostly emulators and other old time
fun). Freed up a bunch of hard drive space which is good, but
effectively limited my money supply, which is bad.

. . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( september 10th - september 24th )

[Suck-Ass-Thing-of-the-Week]-= Having To Go Pee
---So, I'm sitting at the seminar, and drinking coffee... it was free
---and there was a lot of it to go around. After four cups, I began to
---feel the ache to pee. Not wanting to interrupt the demo, I sat and
---waited. And felt the ache some more. It became painful, and I
---disguised it by leaning over in my seat. Ahhh... a break. Only to
---be told by my penis that it ain't gonna being peeing. Great. I
---get back in my seat, still feeling pained. Fifteen minutes into a
---a rousing demonstration of Microsoft Word (honestly, rousing...)
---I got up, and pissed for about five minutes. No lie. I come back
---in, and get another cup of coffee. Some people never learn. Total
---seminar time: 5 hours, 45 minutes.

[Where'd-You-Hear-About-Us-of-the-Week]-= Colorado University
---From email: "I didn't really hear about you... I saw
---www.disobey.com tagged in black marker on the wall in the basement
---of Macky at CU." Our fans treat us well...

[Classic-Cartoon-Line-of-the-Week]-= Tweety Bird
---Sylvester and two other cats playing hockey with Tweety as the puck.
---Another cat is about to eat Tweety, and Tweety shouts: "Help, puddycat!
---I'm about to be eaten by another puddycat!" Classic, classic, classic.
---Laughed over that one for a while.

[Pain-of-the-Week]-= Blood Blisters
---After having worked the holidays, and getting retro pay for some reason
---that I still haven't determined, I bought a badly needed new pair of
---boots. I can see you jumping up and down. Anyways, they gave me your
---yearly blood blisters on my right heel which are always fun. Yeah.
