. . . : ; The "TRAVELLING" Notice

I have determined that there is something living inside my body. See, as
many of you know, I have chronic headaches. I complain about them all
the time. Well, it seems that my headaches have stopped, only to be
replaced by chronic neck pain. As such, my conclusion is that there is a
new version of Tempest technology geared to humans anatomy, voodoo is
becoming the rage (again), or there is a parasite living in my body who
just decided to move.

. . . : ; The "HEY-ANOTHER-KOMBAT-GAME" Notice

Well, it seems to be all the rage: people are coming out with Mortal
Kombat like games left and right for the Macintosh. First, there was
Mortal Pong, which kinda had fighting in it, but wasn't a direct rip of
Mortal Kombat. Then, there was Blood Pong, which was Mortal Kombat 3,
only with paddles in the place of fighters. And now, there is a new game
(of which I am on the beta test for) called Squirrel Kombat. Out of all
of them, I think SK will be the most enjoyable. It'll probably last
longer against the interminable feeling we like to call BOREDOM.

. . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and the eve of a dead night...

A LITTLE WARNING: Not that it matters, but this issue was not re-read or
revised before being published. Ignore all errors that you find.

NETSLAVES GOES CRAZY: I remember a year ago, when Ghost Sites was still
a fledging on Disobey that we said this exact same thing. Seems
NetSlaves happened a LOT faster this time, though, with interviews in
Wired News, the Village Voice, and mentions at 56k.com and numerous
other email magazines which we couldn't track down. NetSlaves is set to
make history, just like Ghost Sites. Don't be one of the bandwagon
jumpers. Get to NetSlaves now.

NEW DEVIL SHAT (#FortyTwo): Well, it's been a while, so Morbus decided
to give a healthy dose of the DEVIL'S DUMP (must have been the fruits
and vegetables). Either way, be sure to regale yourself with tales of
Remade Movies for the 90's, Furbies From Beyond, and Importance in Less
Than 50 Words. Find out what the hell I'm talking about by reading the
damn issue, k?

LOW SNOWBLOWER: Low Bandwidth was moved into Level Four this week, as it
received a huge code update, as well as numerous minor revisions that
only an anal webperson like myself would give a care about. I think I
removed more than 2000 tabs though, if you care. And I know you don't.

NEW GHOSTSITES (#no!really!): Ghost Sites continues to entertain with
the rotting corpses, decayed menaces, and bitdepressed websites
scattered amongst the living. Check it out, order a t-shirt, and float
in joyful entropy.

. . . : ; EVERYTHING else and a sieve of innocent fright...

NEW MOVIES: Some video store bought another video store (well, actually,
it was the same video store buying the same video store), and finally
got around to putting all the movies they didn't want on a shelf. 500
movies for less than six bucks. Can't beat that. New acquisitions for
the week included The Fog, Bug, Re-Animator, and The Gate. Two of these
movies you can see reviewed by me in Viewer Discretion, archived at Low
Bandwidth. I'll be going back in another week or so to pick up another
four. They have lots of great stuff.

NEW CHAIR: I finally got a new chair, and oh boy, is it nice and comfy.
Although not black (a threaded gray), it gives me bunny softness up my
ass and all over my back. Love. And not only did I get it assembled, I
got it $10 off the shelf price. Having contacts is good.

PLAYSTATION: Not that I have anytime to play with Disobey, but I decided
to go out and be stupid and get a PlayStation, and blow all my money
buying games. And then piss off my girlfriend for playing it too much.
And neglect Disobey. And goddamn, I remember eating carrots while
playing one of the games! What the FuCK is wrong with me!

MILLION CELEBRATION: By the time you read this, it probably will have
already happened. One Million Access from the open of Disobey, barely a
little over a year ago. Wow. Guess that's a good thing. I'm happy and
proud that it's being recognized. Disobey was never intended to be any
sort of moneymaker, and nor do I think it ever will be. It is out there
for only one reason, and that one reason is to prevent me from going
crazy from too many bottled up thoughts. It's just nice to know that
someone can handle (and enjoy!) my disease.

. . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( december 4th - december 17th )

[Cool-Toy-of-the-Week]-= Singing Papa Smurf
---Bought after finding it hidden under a pile of discounted toys at
---the local Kay-Bee, this wonderful find cost a measly $9.99, after
---discounted from $19.99 to $12.97. Pushing on Papa Smurf's stomach
---causes it to play the theme song. "Tummy Huggin' Papa Smurf" is
---all the rage.

[Where'd-You-Hear-About-Us-of-the-Week]-= Mail-Order Brides
---From an email: "I was performing a background check on this hot
---Ukrainian mail-order bride and did a Lycos search of her home town
---of Lugandsk. One of the low-confidence sites that came up was some
---obscure text-only business submission from the Disobey archive.
---Intrigued by the domain name, I chopped off the endings of the URL
---and went into the homepage, followed whatever looked interesting,
---and. . . . and there I was."

[Morbus-Couldn't-Have-Done-That-of-the-Week]-= But He Did!
---I ate some fruits and vegetables. I know, no shit, huh? I had
---apples, bananas, and uncooked green beans. They were so...
---healthy. Sometimes I would wake up in the middle of the night in
---a cold sweat yelling out "Broccoli! That is the key!". I don't
---know what it means either, but I think I need help.

[Annoying-Phrase-of-the-Week]-= "All the rage..."
---For some strange reason, I have heard this phrase more times than
---I care to count. And then, to top it all off, I saw it on some
---stupid toy website. Argh.
