HARD/SOFTWARE FOR SALE /
//////////////////////////////////

I have three ST hardware items for sale.

The first is a mutant 520STF. When I got it, it had French ROMs, and
even though there was a floppy bay, there was no floppy drive. So, I put
in TOS 1.4 (English of course) and put in the sleek floppy drive from my
MegaSTE, which was left-over when I upgraded to a 1.44meg floppy drive.
There's one-meg of RAM on the machine; last I tried it though, it couldn't
recognize the full meg, only 512K, although it did at one point. There's
probably a loose connection somewhere. You or even Alex at ATY could fix
it in no time; I just haven't looked into it. I'd like $ 75.00 for the
machine.

I have a non-expanded SM124 monochrome monitor. It works very well,
as it should. For ONLY $75.00.

Finally, I have an ICD case, ICD host adapter, and a 40meg SCSI drive.
The case is an official ICD case, strong enough to withstand a nuclear
holocaust. It has room for another 3.5 drive. The ICD host adapter is
built-in and has a clock on it. The 40meg SCSI drive was originally in a
Mac, but was replaced when the Mac was upgraded. Everything works fine and
is in excellent condition. I'd like $200.00. The case is easily worth
$100.00, and the host adapter and 40meg SCSI drive are worth $ 50.00 each.
Oh, and you get the ICD software included. This stuff is awesome. Much
better than Atari's.

Send me e-mail if you're interested.

RELEASE - MOUNTAIN SOFTWARE /
//////////////////////////////////

Mountain Software is happy to announce the latest update to our
offline message reader. Already the best of it's kind, Mountain QWK has
been completely rewritten to provide larger capacity, faster operation,
BLUEWAVE compatibility, and a whole host of new features.

With the addition of the Bluewave message format, we have renamed
Mountain QWK to Mountain Reader II. But, it is still the finest QWK reader
available, and compatibility has been enhanced even further. Bluewave
support includes not only messages and replies, but conference
configuration and file requesting as well. Despite the increase in power
and flexibility, Mountain Reader II is now even easier to configure thanks
to a new Preferences menu.

A new online hypertext help system makes the program even easier for
new users to understand, and assists the power user in the operation of
Mountain Reader II's many built-in features. GDOS printing is provided for
users who want hard copy of the documentation.

Mountain Reader II supports 65536 message areas, with up to 65536
messages in each area. And new message handling techniques allow users to
read larger packets with much less memory than before.

Reading messages is now even easier thanks to a variety of new
prescanning methods. You can now preselect message areas, and/or prescan
messages, individually or in any combination.

Message "
threading" is now obsolete thanks to a powerful new message
sort. You can now have messages sorted by To:, From:, or Topic
automatically when the packet is loaded.

The new bookmark system allows you to easily mark desired messages,
and recall them at a later time. Especially handy for those large packets.

The internal text editor is faster now, includes more features, and
supports cutting and pasting via the system clipboard. As before, external
text editors are also fully supported.

A new E-mail address book makes it easier to correspond with familiar
users, as well as easing Internet and FIDO net mail.

The new group mail system makes it easy to send copies of a reply to
other users. And the new reply menu makes it easy to edit your replies
once they've been entered.

The tagline manager has been further enhanced with improved importing
and exporting, a search feature, and much larger capacity. Tagline
"
Stealing" is now provided, both automatic and manually.

The conference configuration menu allows you to select your desired
message areas while offline, and reset message pointers if desired. Then
your configurations may be uploaded back to the BBS along with your
replies.

The new bulletin menu allows you to easily select the bulletin you
wish to view, and the bulletin viewer includes full ANSI emulation.

The search system has been enhanced to be faster and more user
friendly. In addition, users may now select which parts of each message
should be searched.

The user lockout system allows you to lockout users from future
message packets.

Conference mail and File Attachments are fully supported, and you may
now define which directory you want the files sent to.

Mountain Reader II will also launch your favorite terminal software,
easing the process of uploading and downloading packets.

Mountain Reader II runs in a movable window in any resolution, color
or monochrome, with full access to your desk accessories at any time. The
custom "
3D" graphical interface has been enhanced and is now faster and
more user definable than before. Most all program operations can also be
operated using keyboard equivalents.

Mountain Reader II runs on all ST, STe, TT, and Falcon computers,
multitasks with Geneva and MultiTOS, and is compatible with SpeedoGDOS. A
floppy disk and 1 Meg of RAM are required, though a Hard Drive and 2 Meg
are highly recommended.

Suggested Retail Price is $40.00. Orders placed before August 15,
1994 are only $30.00. Registered users of Mountain QWK may upgrade to
Mountain Reader II for $15.00. Shipping is FREE in the US and CANADA,
Foreign orders add $ 5.00 shipping/handling.

A demo version is available on GEnie, or a Demo Disk may be obtained
from Mountain Software for $ 5.00. For more information, or to place an
order, contact:

FALCONER, CAT 27, TOP 2, MSG 99/M475, Jul 15, 1994

To Mr. Deoliver:

(From Mr. RUIZ, thank you).....

I did indeed buy a clue, and it was to HELP you in getting things
clarifed!!]

1) The message was specific; if it was not, why then did I respond to
same with e-mail, that DISTINCTIVELY refers to the Conner??

2) My opinion was based on direct relation with other persons from New
York, or rather, from the specific area. I have since stood myself
corrected, WITH HELP EVEN, for my remarks. Still, I will not back down
from what I said, either here, or in e-mail to you. I made continuous
attempts to get ahold of you, as I was genuinely interested in your deal.
When I was FINALLY able to reach you, ALL OF MY OWN ACCORD AND EXPENSE, it
was not what was anticipated, and so it fell off. What did not fall off
for me was your response concerning my equipment. As I told you on the
phone, I wish you luck in obtaining these items for the near nothing you
gave the impression of being able to acquire them for.

I do believe that not too long ago, in one of these topics, there was
a discussionas to what prices one could get for ones' goods. The general
opinopinion was that it depended on the area one was in, and what the
deman --- demand was for same. Tonite, I read thru my latest issue of ST
Informer , and a response by Rod McDonald to a letter writer seems to flesh
out my exact same feelings.

So, Mr. Deoliver, I will indeed pick up a clue. Once I do so, I will
be sure and forward it to you, post-haste.

In the meantime, accept this one, GRATIS: it's spelled R-U-I-Z. Or
---- just in case they dont' have remedial education in those parts.....

Topic Police:
It ends here, now. If not, then please, forward all appropriates to
me via e-mail, thank you.

Robert *R*U*I*Z* (AKA FALCONER) :]

FALCONER, CAT 27, TOP 2, MSG 117/M475, Jul 18, 1994

Brian & Larry:

Larry first: I apologize for the on-go here. I thought I made it
clear in my last post that, if someone still had a grouse concerning my
post, that it was best placed in e-mail. Well, either this particular
person hahas $$ to burn, or else gets off on their posts. I cannot promise
no more like this, as I believe in alerting people to any possible bad
and/or wrongdoing(s). But with some folks, well, you never know.......

Brian:

Isn't it funny how little minds all to often produce more than they
can handle??? How do they come up with these WORDS???

Off and flying............FALCONER.......

P.S.

I believe my e-mail to you should pretty much sum up this whole sordid
scene. Be assured that if he persists, I expect for you to forward his
responses directly to me, that it may not clutter up this area, or stray it
from its intent and purpose. Worse to worse, I can always post up his
friend's e-mail!! :)

Hey guys, I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO BURN! please take it to the proper
topic or else create one!

Sysop, maybe you can set guidlines that unless the posts specify
something for sale they will be either moved to the proper area or will be
erased. I'm getting tired of this! I only want to read about what's for
sale!!!!!

Brian, a sad case of Aladdin Lag. I thought I bought the machine
with a quick post to Jim Allen, but the GE mail didn't go out till the next
day. By the time Aladdin put my spoken for message on the board, the
machine was already sold.

I had been having correspondance with Jim over the machine, was
willing to buy, just wanted a pause till payday. When I say it back for
sale I wrote to say, "
ok, I'll buy today!" but some how or other that very
important letter didn't go out and I missed my chance at a good deal.
Sorry for any confusion my post may have caused. I realy realy did think I
had it in the bag.
