You might have got the impression from the editorial that we've had fuck all
response from anybody about PB #21. Well, that's not entirely true. We have had
letters already- two from completely unexpected sources! First we got an
envelope with just a disk in it. We thought "Oho! A disk-bomb already?" No, it
was from the guys from Tour De Force and it contained two article type DOCs and
a letter-type DOC. We hadn't actually sent them a letter, so we wondered where
they could have got the magazine and address from! As we read into the letter
and other DOC, it appears that it came from Agrajag, who also sent a letter to
us. We'll say more about him later, but let's see some of what Darkman said:

"At the moment, my printer isn't hooked up so I'm having to type this
lovely letter to you quite quickly. ...... Pure Bollocks is one of the
best mags I've read so far, so I've (rather quickly) typed up a couple of
very short articles for it.... As for Mat of the Untouchables, I don't know
where he's gone, although I know another couple of issues of Ledgers have
appeared over the last few months."

Thanks very much for the articles Darkman, and the praise! We really appreciate
that sort of stuff! He then went onto tell about what happened to Blue Harvest
(see news and Agrajag's letter later on in this page). We'll also try and get
any new issues of Ledgers that have been done since September 92! He also told
that he wasn't in T-Def anymore, and gave this article to explain:

------------------------------------------------------------------------

" TOUR DE FORCE IS DEAD....
LONG LIVE DIGET....

What does this mean, and who the hell is writing all this pap? Well, if
you've read issue 21 of this funkyzine, then you may remember a crew called
Tour de Force being mentioned a couple of times. Well, Tour de Force died a
few months ago now, and only two members remain active on the scene (the
original two) - of the others, two 'retired' and the rest have vanished
from the multiverse (if anyone knows where Ringpull is, or if you read
this yourself, then contact me...). Anyway, the two active members have
joined forces with Diget, a games only team working in STOS/GFA/68000. I'm
not gonna say much more than that, but I really think you should watch out
for our games, the first few will be shareware (if we get the right
response). BTW, Diget concentrate on making games using null modem, extra
joysticks and MIDI links, so when we move onto the Falcon, be sure of some
really huge games involving these ports and the LAN ports for it. In
answer to the second question, well, I really can't be bothered answering
it.....

Well, maybe I'll give you the member status of Diget. We are a 5 man team
consisting of a Craig, a Derek, 2 Daves and a Stuart. Now, bugger off, the
lot of you...."

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, thanks very much Darkman! Now, the second letter we got was a couple of
days later was from Agrajag. He said in his letter:

"I had heard about your diskmag from one of the Network Trash bunch and I
got a copy off them with a photocopy of the 'contacts letters'. [I checked
with Genie and this story is true] I've had a look at the diskmag, and I
must say that it shows some promise and some of it appears pretty well
written! But one thing- why did you have to rip loads of my stuff off? I
mean, a couple of articles and my first ever attempt at chip music is a bit
much I think!"

Well, at least you're not slagging off the magazine, but come on, we DID credit
you with it, and we ripped much more stuff off other people! He then told us
that he's not in Blue Harvest any more. He says that it was a "dispute" between
himself and Red Five. He's now a coder in Digitech, who we also listed in our
Scottish scene review last issue. He adds:

"As for Mat not doing Ledgers, I think that might be wrong. I've heard from
a couple of people that there were a couple of issues out in the last
month, it's just that I haven't been in contact with Mat of UNT from ages,
so I'll try and get in contact with him now, and if I get any issues from
him, then I'll pass them on"

Thanks for your offer Agrajag, and if you want to do some stuff for us a bit
more directly, you've got our new address now!

That's all so far!

Thank you! I've corrected the date in the article. However, some websites list January 1980 as the date of death.
