Today I found a starfish with seven arms
The seven armed starfish.
Some starfishes reproduce by fragmentation. A part of an arm and of the central disk detached from the starfish and eventually develops into an independent individual.
Probably this starfish is regenerating the four arms after a split from his parent.

The seven armed starfish was found at "spiaggia del riso" near Villasimius in Sardinia.
