USB-GDROM Controller to load dreamcast games from an external Hard Disk
The USB-GDROM Controller is a device that allows users to load Dreamcast games directly from an external USB Hard Disk. It emulates the original Dreamcast GD-ROM unit.
The main characteristics are:
- compatible with USB 2.0 Hard Disks
- supports any USB media up to 2 TBytes: USB Flashstick, USB HDD, USB-SD
- supports FAT32 and long file names
- unlimited sub-directories with any names
- fast loadings
- 100% compatible (about 600 games was tested by DC community)
- CDDA implemented
- alphabet sorting
- supported Images: GDI, cdi, also GDI with data tracks 2048 bytes per sector
- «Region free» can be ON or OFF (you can launch any GDI images(NTSC/PAL/JP/EU/US) at your console)
- flexible «Swap Image» feature
- compatible with VA0 & VA1 model (VA2 has integrated GDROM Controller)
The USB-GDROM is installed in the dreamcast. An USB Stick is connected to the USB port.
