Wow. Its great to be back after a 10 month vacation. You guys are all
probably thinking that VaS is dead and that we finally died in many of the
attempted letter bombings to our P.O. box but no... We are here... We are
back... We are VaS...
Anyhow I figured I would make this a bit of a compilation issue to
get you back into the swing of things. First of all, lets take a look and
see where some of our former VaS authors are today...
Studmuffin: Well obviously I am still around. After experimenting with far
too much pot, lsd, dextromethorphan, alcohol, nitrous oxide and other
goodies I decided to buy a new modem and see what was going on. I put my
board back up, improved it a bit and now decided to get VaS back going.
Phreak_Accident: Well, the infamous author of "Basic Rape Techniques" is
still around, he logs on locally every once in a while but spends most of
his time sleeping or betting on horses at the track with me.
Nocturnus: I figured satan repossesed his body during our little vacation
but he popped up on my system once after I put it back up. Haven't heard
from him since. So who knows.
Stone Cold: After several interesting and informative articles on the
internet he has apparently fallen off the face of the earth. His board is
down <as is the case with basically all the old VaS sites>. Popular theory
is that he was dragged away in the middle of the night by a yeti.
Gandolf: He is still here, and calls my new system actively. I'm sure you
can look forward to more informative articles from him soon <hint hint>.
Hedbangyr: He is the other one who still calls my system on a regular basis.
He continues to rave on about the importance of technical t-files and says
that VaS shouldn't print so much 'babbling'.
Public Enemy: He went on to become a famous rap group.
Anyhow most of the other 'authors' were just various members of the
group working under different names to confuse you. And it obviously worked
because it confused me too.
Now comes the big official VaS Index. This is especially helpful to
all those sysops who carry the VaS collection and would like to know the
proper descriptions to all the files and are too lazy to go figure them
all out.

Anyhow that's about it for this issue <I never said it would be an
interesting one, but hey - its a release isn't it!> so ... You can now look
forward to more VaS files cluttering the boards with our obnoxious sense of
humor and poor grammar.
Don't forget that since we are starting over we need a lot of
distribution sites. Sure, you wanna be one. As long as you are willing to
actually carry all the VaS files online and make them no-ratio and you aren't
in the 313 area code you can probably be one. Anyhow that's all for this
issue, We are always looking for new authors too, so if you know how to
write, let us know! Be sure to call the new VaS HQ - Urban Discipline , It's
over 7000 textfiles all at NO RATIO! And spread the word... VaS is back!
