My soul 

I have seen the pain 
the dead left to rot 
in the hot summer sun 
the sick in the streets 
on a cold winters morn 
and I ask "why are they not helped?" 
but none can see 
then I realize the morbid truth 
I am seeing my shattered soul 
                as others do 

 

Cosmic entertainment 

The electric chair 
the guillotine 
burning men 
in gasoline 
razor blades 
and heavy guns 
who said god isn't having fun 
here we are in the pain 
hurling bricks 
swinging chains 
killing mother, father, son 
who said god isn't having fun 
if this is all 
then here's the gaff 
and give our god 
a hearty laugh
