I have a feeling I have heard this word somewhere before, perhaps
in a TV show. Does anybody know the meaning of the word?

SHARPER in corners in my opinion).

Is that the NEC 3D (I have not heard of a '33D')? Which Multisync interface
are you using? How must it be adjusted? I am sick of waiting for Atari mono's
to make their return!

Um, it sounds like you may have forgot to select the 'View Pictures' option.
Pagestream represents all images as a box with an X through it so it can
do fast redraws.

Thanks to all who responded to my request on how to print PostScript
from Timeworks. Special thanks to the kind soul who gave me the
solution that worked! Here is what that solution is (sorry, I
already deleted my mail from that person so I can't give credit
where it is due):
1. Install Timeworks for a generic PostScript printer.
2. Run fontwid.app, telling it that I have a PostScript printer.
3. Download pscapt.arc from terminator and install it as a desktop
accessory. This wonderful program intercepts any PostScript
stuff which would be send to the serial port, and sends it to
a file. (BONUS: it also works with Microsoft Write!)
Now to print PostScript from Timeworks I do the following:
1. Start up Timeworks and create my document as necessary.
2. Use the pscapt accessory to open my capture file.
3. Print the document
4. Use the pscapt accessory to close the capture file (will close
itself if Timeworks exits, but seems to be less picky if I
close it myself).
5. Take the disk to the nearest PostScript printer and print it.
It works very well but there are a few comments worthy of mention:
- Microsoft Write checks for the laser as soon as you start the
program. Hence you must open the capture file BEFORE starting
Microsoft Write. I also found things worked better if I closed
that file (after starting Microsoft Write) and then opened a
new capture file for my real printing.
- The PostScript file prints fine on a NeXt laser printer. I had
some trouble, however, with an Apple LaserWriter (Plus ?). It
did not seem to like the "magic word" at the beginning of the
PostScript file (something like %!PS-Adobe-1.0 but I'm not
entirely sure that is correct). I had to delete that first line
then things worked fine on the Apple. (To be honest, I'm not
sure that it was the LaserWriter that was the problem. I was
printing through an IBM model 30 which was connected to the
LaserWriter, along with a number of Macs, via an AppleTalk
network. It may have been AppleTalk that didn't like my
"magic number" and not the printer itself. Anyway, once I
removed the first line everything worked just fine!)
Once again, thanks to all who sent me their help.

Well, I have had no experience with Timeworks, but I can tell you that what
you describe works perfectly with Pagestream 1.8. I do all of my rough
layout work at home with my cruddy NX-1000, and then print the final draft
at school on a NEC laser. To my knowledge, Calamus does not support
Postscript, nor is there a conversion utility (I am sure they will come out
with one though).

All very well for SM124 users, but does anyone have a screen-saver for the
Moniterm 19" monitor, I am more than a little paranoid about mine, obviously
it might have to throw 150K of ram at the problem, but any solutions would
be useful (e.g. gently scrolling the bitmap about).
