There are two that I know of, both pirated. One is called MacBongo, from
germany. It is an old 64k rom hack (roms saved to disk). The other is
a pirated version of Spectre 128, with v 1.85 software. It bombs quite
frequently, to my understanding. Both are quite illegal.

My main beef with the multisync in hi-rez mode is what I term "shadowing".
I see characters and lines "echoed" in a fashion like that seen on TVs.
The problem is not too bad in reverse video mode. I suspect the cause is
the ganging of a 9 pin gender changer and 9 to 15 pin adapter to get
the NEC 3D to talk to the video box I have. Even without that problem the
Multisync is not as sharp as a true monochrome monitor.

I think that there is some form of font editor called "FED" (Font EDitor?).
But possibly it did only 94 or 128 characters. Maybe someone who knows
more about this can answer.

Hi......I still have saved on disk the opsting you made the day you purchased
your Pansonic printer.........I went out and finally bought the HP LJ IIp..
price was the major consideration......also I had planned on getting the
EPSON EPL 6000 that is 2 ppm fatser nd had 2 trays and 2 cartridge slots..
but the problem was that on calling Pacific Page as wella sEpson it was
discovered that the Epson would not support the Postscript cartridge from
Pacifig Page :-(......so I have the IIp.....
I see in you rposting a mention that Wordperfect supports soft fonts on your
4450.......I wonder if soft fonts are supported for the series II also in
WP4.1............would apprecitae your input.....
I am also trying to get advice on which of the 2 HP drivers for Spectre to get
the one that is Jetlink or the other called MacPrint....have you had a
chance to try them out yet/?
I wonder if with both of them we are stuck with the fonts they come with r can
I use the usual Mac fonts available fro Macwrite and MacDraw etc? This is
IMportnat if I am to invest in the s/ware and the GCR......
Hope to hear from you soon....
REgards
Imran

Hmmm, from what I been reading, the main complaint is how Atari is trying
to restrict technical info on the ST to those who have forked over the
developers fee. Perhaps this is the REAL reason the publicly available
docs are "shit!"
