The following is an updated repost:
I've bought a house. This means that every waking moment I'm
not at work involves mowing or painting or something much
less fun than playing games on my Atari ST. This means that
YOU, the unwary, er, buying public have a chance to pick up on
these great games - all practically free!
The prices given below are 25 to 30 percent of list,
depending on how recent the game is and how "hot" it is on the
'Doug' game scale. I would prefer no trades, but you can always
try. All games consist of original disks and docs, but
I no longer have boxes or reg cards. To the best of my know-
ledge, all of the games work just fine. Unless you want several
of the games, add a dollar for postage per order. And, of course,
all prices are fully negotiable.
A 'J' indicates the game requires a joystick. An 'H' indicates
that the game can be mounted on a hard drive. An 'n' indicates
that the game can be played with up to n people.
Dr. T's MT-32 Editor/Librarian $20
Zany Golf (miniature golf game) $ 5 4
Red Lightning (very detailed wargame) $12 2H
Leisure Suit Larry I $ 9
Paperboy (arcade game) $ 9 2J
Balance of Power ('86 version) $ 9 2
Marble Madness (arcade) $ 5 2 (J for 2nd)
Speedball (Rollerball. Fantastic!) $10 2J (one per player)
Wiz Ball (arcade style) $ 5 2J
Bridge 5.0 $ 7 H
Archipelagos (arcade/strategy) $ 8
Star Fleet I (strategy) $10 H
Toobin' (arcade) $ 9 2 (J for 2nd)
Firezone (strategy, open-ended) $ 8 2
OR:
I'll take $75 for the whole bunch (non-negotiable).
If you are interested in any of these games, contact me via any of
the methods listed below. I will ship US First Class.

I think his problem was in making it cache90.prg rather than cache090.prg.

Hi,
Does anyone have or know of software to drive a CRP A4 Digitising
Tablet? PD, Shareware or commercial would be welcome. I want to use
the tablet to read points off a plot of a spectrum.
Thanks,

Subject: GCC-137 Zoo files
I tried ftping gcc-137.zoo01 through gcc-137.zoo13 from terminator. I used
BINARY mode from an Intel320 acting as a DDN node on MILNET.
I then downloaded them from the Intel to my ST. 01 unzooed OK until it hit
tm_m68k and then it gave me a corrupt header in file and quit. When I list all
the others (02 - 13) I get bad archive error messages and can't even see what's
inside these files.
Has anyone else experienced difficulty with these or is it just my host? All
the files came through with the corre.
I've tried zoo on the ST and also a PC at work although the PC version is only
1.31.
Thanks for any help - I hate to have to FTP them again.

I am looking for a harddisk backup and restore program that will
backup large files across multiple floppy disks while keeping the
folder hierarchy intact. It would be nice if it could do file
compression also. I am also looking for a harddisk tools package that
would allow me to recover lost files and optimize the harddisk for
reads or writes. I am running TOS 1.0 on a 1040ST.
Thanks in advance.

To expand on Troy Carpenter's reply to an earlier query:
The current version of Phasar is 4.0. I have seen it in the Joppa price
list for $US54.00. I did an extensive review and tutorial on the product
in the March 1990 Current Notes. I feel that it sets the standard for this
type of program and it is relatively economical. The support to date has been
very good, although some may quarrel with the price of the upgrade from ver
3 to ver 4. While the new release is not an entirely new product there are
extensive improvements to the user interface.
This program also does a splendid job of handling taxes, budgeting, and
other matters of personal finance.
I suspect that an ST 512 user would find it somewhat cramped. I would encourage
and 512 user, particularly one who is using a hard drive, to stuff in as much me
memory as he can. He will want it for things like NeoDesk, Hotwire, UIS III,
and the like, which are all essential to making operation on an ST smooth.

On all this discussion of disassembly and lack of information for
nondevelopers I like the analogy to car service manuals pretty well. They
don't come with the cars, but the company does need to produce them anyway.
If you really want want you can order one at the same time as the car. The
last time I did this they cost aabout $20.00 for a pretty big book. I am sure
that you would here a lot less complaints on the net if Atari published the
technical information on its computers in a well edited from at a similar
cost per page.
