ATTENTION Mouse Mongers!!!

Th PERFACT and most Practical mouse you could EVER get your
grubby little hands on is the Cordless Mouse by PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS!!!
Price at the NORTHEAST-AtariFest was $85.00 from Joppa Computer Products.

I DID have a REAL NICE REVIEW typed up, but the system editor KILLED it
before I could POST it :-( Anyway, GET THE P.S. Cordless (MSRP=$119)...

You WILL NOT be DISSAPPOINTED!!!!! Makes the ST mouse look like a
U-HAUL RENTAL TRUCK.....It looks/handles like a Ferrari!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Yes, It realy DOES deserve all those exclaimation points...)

Joppa Computers can be reached at: (301)679-4102 or (301)676-1948

or write:

Joppa Computer Products
3909 Pulaski Hwy.
Abingdon, MD 21009
USA

Practical Solutions, Inc. can be reaced at:

(602)322-6100
or

Practical Solutions, Inc.
1135 North Jones Blvd.
Tucson, AZ 85716
USA

-Dan

PS:
I have no affiliation with either Practical Solutions or Joppa Computer
Products---other than that I am a VERY VERY VERY VERY satisfied customer!

Ps#2:
My mouse was only having LEFT button problems too....but I bought the PS mouse
because it allows ones hand to rest in a much more natural position--instead
of having to cramp your fingers over the ST mouse, you can essentially lay
your fingers FLAT on the mouse (lower profile) and not lose any responsiveness

Hi folks,
has anyone managed to get GEMFAST 1.3 libraries work with MWC?

Since I don't have the source code of GEMFAST 1.3, I tried to extract all
the .o files from AESFAST.A & VDIFAST.A, convert them to MWC's format
and built them back to 2 libraries that MWC can understand. Unfortunately
it didn't work....MWC (and its support utilities : ar, drtomw, etc) keep
complaining about GEMFAST's object files.

So if someone has already done it PLEASE let me know....

(if I remeber well, the source of GEMFAST 1.2 was written in the Madmac
assembler which happens to be a very "unique" assembler - i mean it uses
commands that give headaches to any other assembeler -, and since i don't
have madmac (you see i'm not an ST developer) i couldn't use the source-
code even if i had it)

Since this is not of general intersest please answer via E-mail

I would also like to see the comp.sys.atari.st newsgroup divided
into technical and non-technical groups. I think that separate technical
groups would encourage that kind of discussion.

I've been trying to get things going between my Portfolio and 1040ST
but haven't been having much luck. Could anyone who has any of the
following programs please mail me a copy?

I guess it appears I'll need something like the XTERM2 package,
as well as BINHEX.COM and CHKSUM.COM. Is BINHEX in a form which
is capable of being copy directly to the portfolio thru the AUX port?

Also, I saw mention of a program called PFBOOT.ZIP which is availiable
on CIS which is suppose to make the process of getting transfers
started alot easier. Anyone know anything about this?

Thanks for any help you can give me.
Chris

Hiya. This time - and never again on this item.

In article <4068@uafhp.uark.edu> bbs00021@uafcseg.uucp (John Bunch) writes:

Some weeks ago there already was a question like this, and I
decided to let out a posting to c.s.a.st. I said some
gibberish about the uucp/news-implementation for TOS I wrote, and thw
stuff written by an aquaintence.

For it seems, that not only my postings but *all* postings from
the area of Stuttgart get lost, I'd appreciacte if ya could
send me some replys via mail. I am not going to write
kilobytes of text not knowing, if they arrive or not.

If anyone should be interested in the news/uucp-packege
for the ST, he may send me a mail, or, for the above mentioned
reasons, tell it here.

Yes, there are link-viruses on the ST
Over here in Europe there are several.
The AVK or VDU virus killer checks for link-viruses too...
They can destory/conteminate ALL the files on a hard-disk in a few secs !!
Nasty things !!!!
