The Sherlock Holmes House
Everyone who has read stories about the most famous detective know this place. The Sherlock Holmes Museum is located on 221B Baker Street, where Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson lived.
The ticket can be purchased at the gift shop next to the house entrance. At the entrance a man, dressed in period costume, will sign the ticket and he will let you in the house (unfortunately no great picture of the entrance, as it was raining a lot).
The Sherlock Holmes house spreads over four levels and is well reconstructed with the rooms as featured in the stories from Arthur Conan Doyle.
At the entrance is small corridor. 17 steps bring to the living room.
Next to the living room is the room of Sherlock Holmes.
On the second floor are the rooms of Dr. Watson
and Mrs. Hudson.
Surprisingly, there is no bed in the rooms.
On the third floor is a collection of waxwork figures with scenes from the books.
In the fourth floor is the bathroom. It is very simple, with no shower or bathtube.
