Sega Dreamcast: Toyota
The Dreamcast Toyota model, which was delivered to Japanese Toyota dealers in early 1999 to promote the console, followed a contract between Toyota and SEGA, which originally planned to have only programmed 3D models of the 1999 Toyota vehicles. However later Toyota decided to use the Dreamcast in their stores to show many other vehicles in 3D to potential new customers. Toyota was able to configure the Toyota Celica, Celsior, Estima, FunCargo, Gaia, Hilux Surf, Land Cruiser - 100/Cygnus, Land Cruiser - Prado und RAV4 L vehicles via the Doricatch GD-ROM disk, specially programmed for each vehicle.
SEGA delivered the Dreamcasts inside a white Yukawa Hidekazu box toghter with a Toyota sticker, which users could or could not stick to the Dreamcast top lid, and a Toyota Dream Passport.
According to research, around 160 Dreamcasts where shipped.
