Sega Dreamcast: R7 (Regulation #7)
The Sega Dreamcast R7 (Regulation #7) is a console released in Japan. The Dreamcast R7 has a black Color with R7 printed on it. Two versions of Sega Dreamcast R7 are known.
The limited edition of 200 Dreamcast was initially sold in March 2000 at Pachinko gaming halls as a terminal server hardware. It came bundled with a matching controller, a sticker for the console lid, Regulation 7 Service Connection GD, R7 Dream Passport 2, instruction manuals, link cables and several prizes such as pouches and key chains. It’s also known as Mail Order Edition.
Only in September 2001, due to the high demand, SEGA brought the R7 Dreamcast now limited to 2,000 pieces over the D-Direct Shop to the gamers. This version lacks the Service Connection GD, the Ethernet cable, the goodies and the Dream Passport 3 is the standard version. This second model was released to the public.
