Columbo
The series reverses the standard deductive scheme of English movies. In Columbo, since the first sequences, the viewer knows the killer's identity because he sees him perform the crime. The mechanism is to understand how the detective will be able to unmask him, dismantling piece by piece the alibi made of complicated intellectual structures. The structure of the movie is standard. In the first sequences the murder is shown in which the viewer has the opportunity to see the author, so that he can then better appreciate the investigation carried out by Columbo.
