I am a big fan of the Nintendo 64 and my goal is to save on Neperos as much information as possible about this fantastic console.

I created a few journals:

Console64: is a 1997 ezine to rate Nintendo 64 scene releases. Four Issues are known to exist.

dextrose_chart: another ezine about the Nintendo 64 scene games.

Nintendo64_Major_Charts: another ezine from June 1997 to April 1998.

THE_N64_EZINE: only one issue is known!

The_N64_Review: two issues arrived to us :)
N64_games: here i will try to write infos about Nintendo 64 games.

N64_various: in this journal i will write every kind of info directly related to the Nintendo 64, like hacks, informations about cartridges copiers, mods, ....

Neo Myth Card for Nintendo 64
In the last decades new backup drives appeared on the Nintendo 64 scene. In all this time the old ones have become increasingly rare and expensive. One of them, created by the Neo Team is a whole series of flash cards dedicated to retrogaming, including the Nintendo 64. The product in question is called Neo Myth for N64 . The flash card has had a very troubled development. In May 2006 the team announced the Neo Myth for N64 for the first time, but then no other news followed. In early 2009 the first photos of the hardware are published, thus rekindling the hopes of those waiting for this novelty solution. But development is delayed until ...

Nintendo 64 RGB Modification
Small overview of the video signal The Nintendo 64 belongs to that great generation of consoles which did not provide high definition image like modern videogames consoles. The video signal produced was designed for normal color TVs that are equipped with a common video input, such as the composite or through a SCART connector. The composite signal When buying a Nintendo 64, Nintendo supplied with the console a normal video cable consisting of three plugs; the yellow one, the white one and the red one. The yellow plug is for the video signal, while the other two are dedicated to the sound. This way of transmitting the signal is called co...

Doctor V64
Introduction The Doctor V64 was produced by the now bankrupt company Bung enterprise in 1996. It was one of the first Backup/Development units for the Nintendo 64 and was significantly cheaper than the official Nintendo kit. Initially the unit was available in a configuration with 128Mbit of ram, but later it was necessary to be able to expand the memory up to 256Mbit. The home user can develop his own applications and then load them from the CD-ROM drive at an amazing 8x speed! Actually, it doesn't matter which unit do you install inside the Doctor V64. You can install CD-ROM 52X drive but the drive will always transfer the data...

My complete SGI Ultra64 dev set + manual scans + dev software
Hello Youtubes! Err, that's not right. Hello Assemblergames! Several years ago I was kindly given a complete and functional SGI/Nintendo Ultra64 dev machine, and I noticed right away that the internet was a little short of information on it. At least, consistent, factual information. So I thought I'd post what I know about mine here. And because it's complete I can go beyond pictures. I also have scans of the entire dev manual and a dump of the software install tape. Can someone confirm if I'm permitted to post those things here? In the mean time, here's the story. Back in August of 2008 I was browsing Craigslist h...

Nintendo 64 RGB DAC Mod (PAL/NTSC ... )
Hey Introduction: Normally the N64 is constructed in such a way that only composite video and no RGB signal are generated, with the exception of the FR N64 and some NTSC N64, where it is sufficient to solder a few cables / resistors to be able to use RGB. All others (especially PAL users) look into the tube :D Some time ago EvilTim found a way to expand the N64 with an RGB output http://members.optusnet.com.au/eviltim/n64rgb/n64rgb.html What does the mod bring? A wonderful RGB picture 240p / 480i (NTSC), 288p / 576i (PAL) What kind of RGB cable do I need? idr. the RGB cable from the Super Nintendo or a Game...

The Doctor V64 for the Nintendo 64 with accessories.
Anyone who knows the features and functions of the device knows that the Doctor V64 is much more than a copier station. It is a device that adds lots of great features to the Nintendo 64 and brought the pirate-scene to life. The Doctor V64 has a built-in CD-drive and a parallel port interface and is connected to the 64DD port of the Nintendo 64 via the connection adapter. The emulation adapter and an original module must be inserted into the Nintendo 64 module slot in order to be able to play ROMs. The device was manufactured by Bung Enterprises Ltd, which was well known in the scene in the past due to devices like the Multi-Game Doctor 2...

Figure 1 I-cache Block Diagram
Satya Simha 1.1 Introduction The availability of high-performance RISC microprocessors at low cost is allowing these devices to be used in a variety of consumer applications. These range from 3D video games to hand-held personal computers, also referred to as PDAs. In addition to highperformance, consumer applications also demand low system power consumption. As a key component in consumer systems operating anywhere from 50MHz to 100MHz, the microprocessor needs to be designed to minimize both static and dynamic power consumption. This paper describes the design features in the MIPS® R4300 i TM which allows the microprocessor to operate w...

README Introduction This software provides an algorithm that emulates the protection scheme of N64 PIF/CIC-NUS-6105, by determining the proper response to each challenge. It was synthesized after a careful, exhaustive and detailed analysis of the challenge/response pairs stored in the <pif2.dat> file from Project 64. These challenge/response pairs were the only resource used during this project. There was no kind of physical access to N64 hardware. This project was developed using gVim/nvi and FreeBSD 8.2. It is possible that some programs used for automatic creation of files inside the 'make' file may have ...

The Turok comic is currently written by Fabian Nicieza, of X-Men and Justice League of America fame, and drawn by Rafael Kayanan, who also brought Conan to life.
