TCP/IP Digest is an informal digest created by Michael Muuss, a computer scientist at the U.S. Army Ballistics Research Laboratory (BRL), to discuss TCP and IP, the "DoD Standard Networking Protocols for the Eighties."

Volume 1, Issue 1, Oct. 8, 1981 - Issue 28, Dec. 17, 1982
Volume 2, Issue 1, Feb. 26, 1983 - Issue 18, Oct. 11, 1983

Today the TCP/IP is a standard and universal protocol adopted by everyone. However, in the early 1980s a situation of uncertainty reigned. Many companies were developing alternative solutions in competition with each other and the direction the market would take was very uncertain.

A must read for every computer lover :)
