Coccinella septempunctata can be found almost everywhere. Can be found also in Sardina, of course.

A preserved specimen of Scarites buparius from my collection. It was collected about 20 years ago in
Scarites buparius Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Arthropoda Class: Insecta Order: Coleoptera Family: Carabidae Genus: Scarites Species: Scarites buparius Location: Sardinia Note This Scarites buparius was first described by Forster in 1771 under the Latin name Tenebrio buparius from Spain . The head is very large and almost rectangular, with a large mandibles. The eyes are small. The Scarites buparius is widespread throughout the Mediterranean area (Spain, France, Italy, Albania and Greece) as well as its Islands like the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sicily, Malta, Crete, Cyprus and of course Sardinia :) The species is also know...

My Sardinian insect collection
Yesterday, while having a look at the files in my hard drive, I found a folder with some pictures of my insect collection. Pictures are several years old, dating about 2009. Actually, at that time, I sent some photos of my insects collection to Francesco Vitali asking him to classify my insects ... and ... and ... he did it! He edited each picture by adding/fixing the insect name. Here are the pictures
