... egated to swooping in every six or seven pages to remind us he's the star of the show. I made my feelings on that scenario very clear in my review of #94; I hoped it wouldn't happen again, and it looks like I'm not getting my wish. The only saving graces here are: 1) Steel is a more rounded character than Strange Visitor, and 2) Mahnke and Nguyen are an incredible art team, who can even make second tier guest-stars look good. By the way, I'm loving the new Bizarro haircut and skin condition the Eradicator is sporting. It's only a matter of time before he starts smashing up prisons... oh, wait. Nevermind. One other little complaint while I'm at i ...

... d wiped the memories of Batman, Robin, and Green Arrow from his mind. But Robin first met Superman in a flashback sequence in _World's Finest Comics_ #94, in which he and Batman saved Supes from another Kryptonite trap and helped him bring in the gang who had employed it. This took place chronologically before _Superman_ #71, in which Batman and Superman learned each other's secret identities. This is just going by Earth-One. On Earth-Two, they either first met in the Justice Society origin story (_DC Special_ #29) or the Zoltan episode (_World's Finest Comics_ #271). Since Superman wasn't included in the Batman/Flash/Green Lantern team ...

... actual villains as faceless as possible. And there was hardly any group as faceless as the Superman Revenge Squad. Born in January 1962's _Superboy_ #94, "The Superboy Revenge Squad" had apparently already run afoul of the Boy of Steel in some untold tale. They inhabit the planet Wexr II, a world composed entirely of space pirates whose ambitions for conquest were previously frustrated by the Smallville Marvel. As depicted by Al Plastino, the Wexrites are fat, bald and blue-skinned with pointy ears. Their shirts have triangular symbols with two parallel lines super-imposed. None of their names are mentioned, which is probably okay since they ne ...

... identity. Now, so far in the comics, weÕve seen Kenny/Conduit vow to take care of Superman and Clark Kent, and in the most recent issue (SUPERMAN #94), he goes so far as to say that he will find whatever skeleton is hiding in SupermanÕs closet. My guess? Drumroll.... Conduit will discover that Clark Kent and Superman are one and the same! This would be one of the few things I can think of which would give the creative teams a chance to top some of their ÒbigÓ stories (Death, Funeral, Reign). Plus, it would give Superman a villain with a seriously dangerous upper-hand. And then thereÕs the whole issue of what would happen if his identity was ...
