NEW DEVIL SHAT (#FortySeven): With a last minute addition called A Devil
Called Grim, Devil Shat Forty Seven asks what the difference is between
differences, whether you cut down the cherry tree or hid behind Ms.
Witherspoon, and a whole bunch of other interesting phrases to pique
your curiosity. Just go read the damn thing.
NEW NETSLAVES: With a one parter this issue, you can find the sordid
tale of Murray the XXX, Porn Spammer. Find out all the details
concerning porn spamming and how Murray feels about what millions of
people hate - all because we scored a phone interview. This is a
one-of-a-kind exclusive you won't ever find again.
NEW GHOST SITES: A new Ghost Sites was released, with tales of The
Couch, a Mac site of which used to be the talk of the town years ago, a
news oriented site for the damned (yet another, we know), and the
perfect cure for your ears if you can wait (lord knows, the site is).
Take a look see, buy a shirt, report the dead. Issue 24 grows old.
DETERGENT FINALLY UPDATED: It's been since August of last year, but
Detergent was finally graced with an update to its Random Quote script
- sprouting a reincarnation as the Disobey Quote Script, 444 quotes (as
opposed to 385), and a quicker loading redesign. Hopefully, you'll be
able to expect more changes to the Detergent section by next issue.
KUDOS: We've had a recent spurt of mentions in the media again, as
NetSlaves shows up as a Yahoo! Pick of the Week as well as an article
within TechWeek, and the Detergent Sheep movie is picked as a favorite
link from ZDNet, and Yahoo! Internet Life. That's just damn cool.
MINOR UPDATES: Finally am happy with the Low Bandwidth archives - filled
with only those listings which I feel are remarkable, desirable, or
otherwise personally interest me. If you don't like it, too damn bad;
Detergent has slowly been being renovated although you won't notice
anything for another couple of weeks (it'll be a shell of its old
shelf, but ultimately better); added some new Ghost Sites kudos,
including a translation of a German article; added email to Devil Shat
Eighteen, Forty Four, Forty Five, and Forty Six.

NEW MOVIES: Happened to be in the vicinity of a pawn shop a couple of
days ago, so naturally I went in, and naturally they had movies for
sale. Buy five movies, get a sixth one free. I love deals like that. For
$25, I walked out with the following movies: SCALPEL (which was reviewed
in the latest release of Viewer Discretion), THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS,
THE KINDRED, SLIPPING INTO DARKNESS, SLEEPAWAY CAMP II, and MUTE WITNESS
(bwa haha). My collection grows bigger.
NEW MOVIES AGAIN: Yeah, well, they were having weird sales all over the
city this past couple of weeks, so more new movies were added to the
collection: HELLBOUND (HELLRAISER II), KISS DADDY GOODBYE, GARDEN OF THE
DEAD, MAUSOLEUM, IT LIVES AGAIN, CREEPSHOW (bwa haha), OPEN HOUSE, and
PUMPKINHEAD. Whoo. Man.
NEW CDS: I was apparently under the impression that I had money to burn,
because for the first time in about 5 months, I decided to buy some CDs.
I don't know why, I have much better things to purchase, but new to my
collection (my SAD collection, I might add) are: THE ELECTRIC HELLFIRE
CLUB'S "Calling Dr. Luv", FAMOUS MONSTERS' "In the Night" (which was
incorrectly filed with WHITE ZOMBIE) and MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL
KULT'S "I See Good Spirits and I See Bad Spirits". Hopefully I won't
blow any more money.
FINALLY: It's taken us about four months to decide on a design for the
new section appearing on October 31st, but finally, finally we have
finalized something. Sure, it's still a little rough around the edges,
but the circuit around the beta tester scene (beta testers for websites,
what the hell?) was favorable.
