. . . : ; The "YAWN, WHAT THE HELL TIME IS IT?" Notice

Why is it 7 o clock in the morning? Why is Morbus writing Chico's
Groove? More importantly, why is Morbus writing Chico's Groove at 7 o
clock in the morning?

. . . : ; The "THE ANSWER TO LIFE'S MYSTERY" Notice

Because, you see, Morbus has to go to work all day today. Why does
Morbus have to work? Because the millions of appreciative fans don't
send Morbus enough money. And it is his birthday coming soon, you know
(hint, hint).

. . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and mosquitos are in season...

NEW DEVIL SHAT (#Fifty): I guess you could call fifty issues a milestone
- that is if you base milestones on numerical ideals alone. Morbus talks
about fifty issues, what he set out to do, what he has done, and why
he'll be kicking himself in a couple of months (as if it matters
anyways).

NEW NETSLAVES: The conclusion of Boyd, cab driver, appeared on NetSlaves
recently, finishing up his tale with an ending some might call sad - but
which Boyd felt fitting. Read up on it, as well as the latest Screams
from our Readers, and the newest lesson in New Media Combat Manual (it's
about relationships... you know you're having trouble).

ALPHA TESTING: Although the alpha testing is closed unless you pay the
startup fee of $200, Disobey has started to test the newest section,
with a release date of late October. It'll be a doozy. We've been
bitching about it for a while, but hey, we're excited about the damn
thing, so you can burn in hell.

LOW BANDWIDTH: Got a quick, short lived update with a couple of new
listings, as well as new archives, and a new review for the stunning
"Anti-Press". You should also know that Low Bandwidth has become the
official distro for "Anti-Press" - which means it has to be damn good.
Be sure to grab a copy. Removed some of the stuff that wasn't working on
Low Bandwidth as well...

BEN OHMART MAILING LIST: Ben Ohmart, one of the most spread out authors
I've known (trust me, you'll see his crap everywhere) has gotten his own
mailing list, set up and maintained by a fan of his. You can find
subscription instructions by going to his gallery at the Collected Works
section of Disobey.

. . . : ; EVERYTHING else so go rent your 'skeeter...

NEW CRAP: New movies purchased this week include CREEPSHOW 2, PHANTOM OF
THE OPERA (starring Lon Chaney, Sr.) and CARRIE. Video Thunder (one of
the "buy 20, get 2 free" places) has been having another sale (or so I'm
told) so hopefully, I'll be able to grab a batch of movies from there if
I can spare the change. Also bought some cheesy wavy CD tower thing
which come close to becoming the victim of the Cats, who find the
funniest thing is to rub up against it. Bought some new CDs too, but they
sucked, so I'm not going to embarrass myself.

NEW CRAP 2: Got another movie poster to add to the collection - one of
the variants from the remake of PSYCHO. This holds special meaning since
its one of the original posters which had to be taken down from Grand
Central station because parents deemed it offensive (a blurred naked
girl and the words "Check in. Relax. Take a shower.") It's a good
addition.

WATCHED MOVIES: There are too many to list, but the most memorable ones
were the original VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED, and its sequel CHILDREN OF THE
DAMNED. Although the first was better than its child (such is the
adage), they were both decent movies, and definitely are recommended
for those interested in interest horror, as opposed to gore horror.

. . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( march 26th - april 8th )

[Food-of-the-Week]-= Soda of the Week
---There's some new dollar store that opened up, called "Family Dollar"
---and naturally, as is wont by most stores nowadays, they've deemed it
---important to release their own breed of soda - which, of course,
---takes like ass. But hey, it's 50 cents for a 2 liter bottle (the
---cheapest we've seen it), and you can learn to live with the pain.

[Annoyance-of-the-Week]-= Reinstallation
---Stupid OS was getting finicky this past week, and was giving me
---more crashes that what it was worth to three finger salute. So, I
---spent a day and had a ball of a time. Sigh. I lost my favorite
---alert sound, which has now been replaced by a crappy sample from
---a CHILD'S PLAY movie. Dammit. I guess I should have backed it (or
---not been as stupid).
