. . . : ; The "NECK CRICK! EEGAH!" Notice

Argh, this sucks! This sucks! My neck has a crick in it, and I can't get
it out - even when I do the patented Exorcist Head Spin! I can feel it,
its in the lower left, and it won't go away. Argh. Dammit!

. . . : ; The "STUFFY NOSE! EEGAH!" Notice

Argh, this doesn't blow! Exactly! My nose has been cemented shut by an
impenetrable layer of snot, dirt, and probably hair as well! I can't
breath! I look like a fish! Argh. Dammit!

. . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and Valley Girls are in season...

NEW DEVIL SHAT (#FortyNine): Got a spooky issue for you this time
around, centering around a mysterious "religious document" and something
called the Sins of the Modern Day Morbii. If you've liked some of the
previous issues, you should love this one.

NEW NETSLAVES: Another NetSlaves was released while you were snoozing,
so you can catch Part II of Boyd, the Cab Driver (it's getting dangerous
- he's working email tech support and ... well, just read it) as well as
Lesson 3 in our NetSlaves Combat Manual (interpreting new media job
listings) and yet again, more Screams from our Readers (man, mr. marty
is _pissed!_). Stop by.

NEW GHOST SITES: The twenty fifth issue of Ghost Sites appears, signaling
a milestone of four years in reporting the dead. Come find the sites of
Suck Harder!, the amazing Sell!, that movie that Comedy Central airs
about once a month, and much more...

NETSLAVES LIST SERV: I've been working madass on getting the NetSlaves
List Serv archives in some sort of decent comprehension, and am well on
the way to finishing it (removing advertising, extra quoting,
standardizing spacing, etc.).

LOW BANDWIDTH UPDATED: Low Bandwidth was given a shake down - removing
features which were pointless as well as streamlining some of the code
for it to load faster. Also implemented a quicker way for me to add
listings to the database as that is what seems to be slowing everything
down. Corrected some other minor problems as well as adding two new
listings.

. . . : ; EVERYTHING else so twirl that hair!...

NEW MOVIES: Money was spread all over this week, but I did manage to buy
two new movies: EVIL DEAD (the remastered collector's edition one that
has about 20 different box covers), and ROSEMARY'S BABY (which I've
never seen before but have been lethally admonished that it's a great
movie). The collection grows...

NEW BOOKS: Borders finally opened next to my old job, so after stopping
by, looking around for about half an hour and trying to find the movie
reference (and then asking an employee who only succeeded in leading me
around the store for another hour), I've gotten two more horror books to
add to my collection: THE A-Z OF HORROR (NOT the Clive Barker version,
this is some American version which is basically a collection of horror
movies and their directors and short plot mentions. I already own the
_hard cover_ version of Barker's A-Z as opposed to the soft that they're
distributing now) and CREATURE FEATURES, which is another large
collection of horror movies with plot thingies...

NEW TOYS: Money spent on toys this week added some crappy RESIDENT EVIL
toys to my collection (hey! they were on sale for $2.97 - you can't beat
that), and the Jason and Freddy toys from TODD MCFARLANE'S MOVIE MANIAC
series. And no, Freddy doesn't have blood on his shirt, sniff, sniff.
(Note to those out of the know: there were two different versions of
Freddy. One has blood splattered all over his shirt, and one didn't. I
have yet to find a bloody one.)

LET'S GET SUED: Disobey also managed to turn into a trade name, and
thus, a company, so now I can legally sell you people crap and not get
sued for it. Of course, now I can get sued for any number of other
things ("hey! you're CD blew up my computer!") but that's just fine.

. . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( march 12th - march 25th )

[Food-of-the-Week]-= Pot Pies
---Whether it be from Kentucky Fried Chicken, or those cheap ass
---Morton brand, I've been eating pot pies like the devil: beef,
---chicken, what appeared to be turkey, and so on. Don't ask why, I
---didn't mean it to happen this way.

[Bad-Toy-of-the-Week]-= THE MUMMY 12-inch action figure
---I bought the stupid "electric lights and sounds" MUMMY toy from
---Toys 'R Us, mainly because it was stupid and funny looking enough
---to warrant prime real estate on my desk. I bring it home, plop some
---batteries into it, and raise its arm. It says some barely
---decipherable phrase (good thing the instructions spelled it out for
---you) and the other arm causes it to moan and have its eyes light up.
---Being explorative (ha!), I cranked one of its arms all the way
---around. Oop. Now it doesn't make any sound in that arm anymore.
---Even if you reverse crank it. Five minutes later, the lights are
---broken too. So, I returned it. What a crappy toy. Shit, I feel
---like a kid again.
